“Then Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spoke to the sons of Heth, saying, I am a foreigner and a visitor among you. Give me property for a burial place among you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.” Genesis 23:3-4

Death always makes things real, it shows us how short life really is! We may live forty, fifty, sixty or even a hundred years but that is a drop in the bucket in the annals of time. We come from the dust, so shall we return to the dust! So live for the LORD!

“All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all return to dust.” Ecclesiastes 3:20

Remember this world is not our permanent home, so our focus and our hope needs to be in the LORD!

“In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

John 14:2

Here we see Abraham is all about God, are we? He’s being a witness for the LORD using Sarah’s death to show we need to be separated from the world! As believers we should never fit in with worldliness! We need to be Holy (special) not ordinary, Sanctified – set apart!

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

Let us make our lives count for the LORD today, not the world! We all have just a short time here on earth so lets make it count, knowing that ten out of ten are going to die and those of us who know the LORD, we will be with Him! So have a blessed day sharing the hope of heaven!

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24

We have to really make the choice of serving God or serving the world we can’t go back and forth! When we don’t make a clear choice we become lukewarm!

“So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My Mouth.” Revelation 3:16

We all have things going on in our lives that can distract us from the LORD, but remember it’s the LORD who can and does get you through!

“Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”

Matthew 6:27

The answer is know one! We need the LORD in every situation in our lives, to love us, guide us and save us! No matter what your situation is today we need the LORD to get us through!

“And Elijah came to all the people, and said, How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him, But the people answered him not a word.” 1 Kings 18:21

Today let us be loud and proud about how great our God is, He is bigger than any situation you maybe in! Worrying about it will never help, praying about it, knowing the LORD will see you through is the way to go! We can’t serve two masters the world and the LORD, Let us serve and trust the LORD! Have a blessed day in Him!

Shabbat Shalom

“He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the LORD.” 2 Kings 4:33

As we see in this chapter, which is true for us today we focus on the problem and not the LORD (the solution for everything). Their going to take my sons away, my son is dead and the food is ruined! We do the same our home is being taken, my health is bad or we can’t put food on the table!

“I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.” 2 Samuel 22:4

Yes life is full of all kinds of trials and problems (enemies) what they do is give us opportunity to be like Elisha, shut the door and be alone in prayer with the LORD! I believe the LORD allows problems in our lives, so we can exercise our faith!

“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” Psalm 50:15

Realize today that the LORD has everything worked out! We really need to call upon Him and trust no matter your situation, He is the solution! Have a blessed day glorifying the LORD knowing He is going to deliver you!

“Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, Abraham! And he said, Here I am.” Genesis 22:1

We are all called by the LORD to step out and when we step out for Him we will be tested! Don’t find it strange as you’re walking with the LORD and you get hit with a trial or test!

“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you.” 1 Peter 4:12

Know this today, you are saved and belong to the LORD, He will allow tests and trials to happen so we can grow in Him and have our faith strengthened! The next verse in this account of Abraham and Isaac says “Go to the land of Moriah” The Hebrew meaning of Moriah or Mori -Yah is (God is my teacher or guide)! So while we are in the trial or test realize God is teaching us and guiding us through it!

“Thus says Adonai, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am Adonai, your God, who teaches you for your own good, who guides you on the path you should take.” Isaiah 48:17 CJB

As you walk through the day, Realize the ups and downs we face are allowed by the LORD to teach us and guide us in the way we should go! No matter the trial we face He is right there with us! Our Mori – Yah (God is our teacher and guide). Have a blessed day knowing the LORD is walking you through it!

“For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time which God had spoken to him.” Genesis 21:2

Everything that happens in life happens on the appointed time of the LORD! He knows where, when and why; its up to us to search Him out! No matter what is going on around us look to see where the LORD is!

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10

Often times we start to get busy trying to figure things out, when all we have to do is be still! Listen and wait the LORD will guide and direct!

“But the LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before Him.” Habakkuk 2:20

Remember all things happen at the set time of the LORD! His set time healing, vision and direction! Don’t get so busy that we forget just to be still and wait upon the LORD! Have a blessed day in Him!
