Sing unto Adonai

“Their number, together with their kinsmen who had been instructed in singing to Adonai, was 288, all well trained.”
1 Chronicles 25:7 CJB

The scriptures, in many places, instructs us to sing unto Adonai! Why? Because He loves hearing us singing joyful praises!

“I will sing to Adonai, because He gives me more than I need.”
Psalm 13:6 CJB

God gives freely to us, so we should willingly should sing His praises!

“Come, let’s sing to Adonai! Let’s shout for joy to the Rock of salvation!”
Psalm 95:1 CJB

Calling on and praising Adonai really is what we are called to do! So no matter how rough things may be or seem, let’s praise Adonai!
May your day be blessed praising Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

Serve Adonai

“There were more men who were chiefs found among the descendants of Elazar than among the descendants of Itamar; therefore there were sixteen divisions of the descendants of Elazar, headed by clan leaders, and eight divisions of the descendants of Itamar, according to their clans.”
1 Chronicles 24:4 CJB

We are all given something to do for Adonai, some bigger, some smaller! But whatever we are given we need to do all unto Adonai!

“Everyone who bears My name, whom I created for My glory-I formed him, yes, I made him.”
Isaiah 43:7 CJB

God has created everything and everyone to serve Him and glorify Him!

“His master said to him, ‘Excellent! you are a good and trustworthy servant. You have been faithful with a small amount, so I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and join in Your master’s happiness!'”
Matthew 25:23 CJB

Here we see that no matter what God has given us we need to do unto Adonai with a whole heart and in total faithfulness!
Have a blessed day serving Adonai!

Serve God

“The L’vi’im (Levites) will no longer have to carry the tabernacle and all the equipment that goes with it for its service.”
1 Chronicles 23:26 CJB

The Levites will no longer have to carry the Tabernacle around. They will now have more time to serve God and His people! The problem will become they will end up serving themselves, kind of like many leaders in the world today!

“Then to everyone He said, If anyone wants to come after me, let him say ‘No’ to himself, take up his execution-stake daily and keep following Me.”
Luke 9:23 CJB

We all need to check ourselves for, God freed us from the bondage of sin so we can be able to serve God and others!

“Serve Adonai with gladness. Enter His presence with joyful songs.”
Psalm 100:2 CJB

Serving Adonai will always give us joy, serving ourselves will always be a burden!
Have a blessed day serving Adonai!

Prepare and train!

“David said, Shlomo my son is young and inexperienced, while the house to be built for Adonai must be so magnificent and splendid that its fame and glory will be known in every country; so I will make preparations for him. Therefore David made extensive preparations before his death.”
1 Chronicles 22:5 CJB

David realized he wasn’t going to build the house of God, but he could prepare and train his son to do it!

“Train a child in the way he [should ] go; and, even when old, he will not swerve from it.”
Proverbs 22:6 CJB

We really need to be sharing the word of God with our children and the younger generation!

“These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 CJB

We need to have the word of God in our heart, share it with the younger generation and prepare the way for them, by sowing seeds of salvation!
May your day be greatly blessed!

Put your life in the hands of God

“God also sent an angel to destroy Yerushalayim, but when he was about to carry out the destruction, Adonai saw it and changed His mind causing such distress; so He said to the destroying angel, Enough! Now withdraw your hand. The angel of Adonai was standing at the threshing-floor of Ornan the Y’vusi (Jebusite).”
1 Chronicles 21:15 CJB

Because of David’s sin God sent destruction on Israel, but because of David’s repentance God withdraws His destruction!

“David raised his eyes and saw the angel of Adonai standing between the earth and the sky, and in his hand was a drawn sword stretched out over Yerushalayim. Then David and the leaders, wearing sackcloth, fell on their faces.”
1 Chronicles 21:16 CJB

Do we have a healthy fear of Adonai? Remember, fear is living life without Him, like David did here, taking a census without consulting God first, doing things without God!

“David said to God, Wasn’t it I who ordered the census of the people? Yes, I am the one who has sinned and done something very wicked. But these sheep, what have they done? Please! Let Your hand be against me and my father’s family, but not against Your people, striking them with this plague!”
1 Chronicles 21:17 CJB

Not only did David take responsibility for His sin, but when he realized he sinned, he put his life in the people’s lives in the hands of Adonai! Remember, he had the choices of punishment, famine, captivity or placing his life in the hands of God! We all blow it. The best thing we can do is repent and place our lives in the hands of God’s mercy!
Have a blessed day!
