Turn off the noise

“Should a wise man answer with hot-air arguments? Should he fill up his belly with hot east wind?”
Job 15:2 CJB

The idea here is there really isn’t any wise men and everything that comes out of their mouths is hot air!

“Should he reason with useless talk or make speeches that do no good?”
Job 15:3 CJB

Here is the deal, the world is full of useless talk and useless speeches, by useless politicians and commentators!

“Why, you are abolishing fear of God and hindering prayer to Him!”
Job 15:4 CJB

All this noise can and does hinder our relationship with God, it can and does block our ability to hear Him! Today, let’s turn the noise off and listen for the LORD!
Have a blessed day!

Live for the LORD

“A human being, born from a woman, lives a short, trouble-filled life. He comes up like a flower and withers away, flees like a shadow, doesn’t last.”
Job 14:1-2 CJB

What truth here, we are born, we live and then we die. That sounds a bit depressing, but it’s all on how we use this life! Yes, this life is full of all kinds of troubles, some small, some big, but remember the LORD is with us all the way!

“Since his days are fixed in advance, the number of his months is known to You, and You have fixed the limits which he can’t cross.”
Job 14:5 CJB

We may live twenty, forty or even eighty years. If we think about it, it’s nothing compared to the millennia of the world’s existence, basically just a drop in the bucket, so to speak! So let’s make it count!

“Sing praises to Adonai, who lives in Tziyon; proclaim His deeds among the peoples.”
Psalm 9:11 CJB

Today, let’s step up and step out for the LORD, knowing time is short!
May your day be richly blessed!

Careful of what you hear

“But you, what you do is whitewash with lies; you are all witch doctors!”
Job 13:4 CJB

Love what Job is saying here to his friends. What do you know? Then he calls them a bunch of witch doctors, basically snake oil salesmen! We see the same today from politicians, scientists and unfortunately some ministry leaders, filling our heads with a bunch of useless information!

“”I wish you would just stay silent; for you, that would be wisdom!”
Job 13:5 CJB

What Job is saying here is if you want to look wise, just shut up! That is some good advice for all of us, it would be better to just be quiet!

“If He examines you, will it go well? Can you deceive Him, as one man deceives another?”
Job 13:9 CJB

Understand, we can’t get away with anything with God, so why try? Today, let’s all be careful of what we say and do, knowing the LORD knows and sees all! Let’s also be careful of what we listen to.
Have a blessed day in Him!

Stand with the LORD

“The purpose is that you should enter into the covenant of Adonai your God and into His oath which Adonai your God is making with you today, so that He can establish you today for Himself as a people, and so that for you He will be God-as He said to you and as He swore to your ancestors, to Avraham, Yitzchak and Yakov.”
Deuteronomy 29:11-12 CJB

Our purpose in life is to stand with God no matter where we go! We all need to be careful of compromising our walks with the LORD by justifying things of the world!

“But I am making this covenant and this oath only with you. Rather, I am making it both with Him who is standing here with us today before Adonai our God and also with him who is not here with us today.”
Deuteronomy 29:13-14 CJB

These words aren’t only for the people of old, but they are for us today also! Realize, there is so much misinformation and misleading out there, that everything we say and do needs to go through the filter of the LORD’S word!

“Make me hear of Your love in the morning, because I rely on You. Make me know the way I should walk because I entrust myself to You.”
Psalm 143:8 CJB

Today, it’s so important for us to walk in the ways of the LORD, doing life His way!
Have a blessed day standing in the LORD.
Shabbat Shalom.
