Rest

“Then he said to them, Shabbat was made for mankind, not mankind for Shabbat; So the Son of Man is LORD even of Shabbat.”
Mark 2:27 CJB

The LORD wants us to have a Sabbath day not to burden us, but instead to free us from our normal activities and to have a special day of rest in Him.

“I gave them My Shabbats as a sign between Me and them, so that they would know that I Adonai, am the one who makes them holy.”
Ezekiel 20:12 CJB

Our LORD really wants to have a relationship with us, unfortunately what happens is we get sucked into day to day life! Shabbat, helps us to reset and reconnect with the LORD!

“My soul, return to Your rest! For Adonai has been generous toward you.”
Psalm 116:7 CJB

Today, with all the crazy stuff going on in the world, we all can use some rest in the LORD and resetting ourselves isn’t a bad idea either!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom.

Living for God

“The time has come, God’s Kingdom is near! Turn to God from your sins and believe the Good News!”
Mark 1:15 CJB

The Kingdom of God is rapidly coming and we all need to be turning to God and sharing His Good News!

“I will proclaim Your name to my kinsmen; right there in the assembly I will praise you:”
Psalm 22:22 CJB

We really are very close to going home to be in God’s Kingdom and what we need to be doing is sharing His Good News, praising Him no matter where we are at!

“Turn from your sins to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!”
Matthew 3:2 CJB

Yeshua tells us repetitively through the Gospels that the Kingdom of Heaven is coming! We, as believers, need to take that seriously! We need to be looking for it and sharing with folks how to get there, repenting and receiving the free gift of salvation!
Have a blessed day!

We need Shalom (peace)

“Suddenly Yeshua met them and said, Shalom! They came up and took hold of His feet as they fell down in front of Him.”
Matthew 28:9 CJB

Here we see Yeshua (Jesus) is back just like He said. He will be back for us also! What is more awesome is the fact that during the turmoil the disciples were going through at the time He says Shalom (peace). We need this too!

“Then Yeshua said to them, Don’t be afraid! Go and tell my brothers to go to the Galil, and they will see me there.”
Matthew 28:10 CJB

Yeshua says the same to us: Shalom (peace) and don’t be afraid and we really need to hear and believe it! As believers we also need to be spending more time on our knees!

“What I am leaving with you is Shalom-I am giving you My Shalom. I don’t give the way the world gives. Don’t let yourselves be upset or frightened.”
John 14:27 CJB

Today, if you’re looking for peace in the world, you won’t find it. Look to the LORD. That’s where it will be found and then share with those around you!
Have a blessed day!

Life is good in the LORD

“He saved others, but He can’t save Himself! So He’s King of Isarel, is He? Let Him come down now from the stake! Then we’ll believe Him!”
Matthew 27:42 CJB

The reason Yeshua didn’t save Himself was because He didn’t need to be saved! It is we who need to be saved, it is we who need salvation!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB

What a blessing to know that we are saved and this world is as bad as it’s gonna get! Knowing that makes going through the tough times we are going through so much easier!

“But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of his Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7 CJB

Today, we don’t have to be reminded how bad things are getting, but instead we do need to be reminded and encouraged on how good things are in the LORD!
Have a blessed day!

Rely on the promises of the LORD

“Yeshua said to him, Yes! I tell you that tonight before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times! Even if I must die with You, Kefa replied, I will never disown You! And all the talmidim (disciples) said the same thing.”
Matthew 26:34-35 CJB

We can all be unified, but it doesn’t mean it’s of the LORD or from the LORD! We always need to be checking His word to make sure we are line with Him!

“But he denied it in front of everyone-I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
Matthew 26:70 CJB

Remember, Peter and the boys were unified in standing with the LORD, but when the pressure hit, the boys fled and Peter denied.
We all need to be careful of the same!

“Kefa remembered what Yeshua said, Before the rooster crows, you will disown Me three times; and he went outside and cried bitterly.”
Matthew 26:75 CJB

Two things to keep in mind today: being unified doesn’t always make it right. We need to make sure we line up with the word of God. Also, don’t be caught in the trap of denial, not only deny God, but also denying His promises!
Today, stand strong in the LORD and know Yeshua (Jesus) is caring, loving and oh so forgiving, also the LORD will always come through!
Have a blessed day in Him!
