Don’t get distracted

“Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave the place; and if the people of some place will not welcome you, and they refuse to hear you, then, as you leave, shake the dust off your feet as a warning to them.”
Mar 6:10-11 CJB

Great instruction here when you enter a place to minister, then minister until the LORD moves you on! Don’t look for a new place until you are finished! Also if you’re not being received then just move on!

“For I will proclaim the name of Adonai. Come, declare the greatness of our God.”
Deuteronomy 32:3 CJB

This is what we are all called to do, proclaim the name of the LORD, sharing His good news! What we are not to be doing is arguing and debating!

“You will guide me with Your advice; and afterwards, You will receive me with honor.”
Psalm 73:24 CJB

Today, let the LORD guide and direct us and don’t allow the world to dictate our paths!
Have a blessed day in the LORD!

Be focused

“Seeing Yeshua from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of Him and screamed at the top of his voice, what do you want with me, Yeshua, Son of God Ha`Elyon? I implore you in God’s name! Don’t torture me!”
Mark 5:6-7 CJB

Even this demon-possessed man knows who Yeshua is! We need to ask ourselves the same thing! Sometimes we, too, can have a spiritual schizophrenia. One minute we can be on our knees and the next acting just like worldly fools!

“How blessed are those who reject the advice of the wicked, don’t stand on the way of sinners or sit where scoffers sit!”
Psalm 1:1 CJB

We all need to be careful of falling into worldliness. Listening to social media, talk shows and election controversy! We need to just keep our eyes on the LORD!

“How blessed is the man who trusts in Adonia and does not look to the arrogant or those who rely on things that are false.”
Psalm 40:4 CJB

Today, let’s be careful of worldly traps, but let’s be fixed and focused on the LORD!
Have a blessed day.

Listen to the LORD

“Indeed, nothing is hidden, except to be disclosed; and nothing is covered up, except to come out into the open.”
Mark 4:22 CJB

The LORD doesn’t want us to be in the dark, He wants us to be informed and have understanding. He does want us to be in His light!

“Those who have ears to hear with, let them hear!”
Mark 4:23 CJB

Not only does the LORD want us to see and understand, He desires us to hear and know! Unfortunately we think we know without a lot of hearing!
We can’t just take in His word, read a devotion or listen to a sermon and do nothing! We really need to take in His word and do what He says!

“Don’t deceive yourselves by only hearing what the Word says, but do it!”
James 1:22 CJB

The LORD gives us plenty of information on what to do and what not to do in His word! We just need to take it in and do what He says!

“Your word is a lamp for my foot and light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

Today, we may not know all the details on everything, but the LORD gives us light to know and to do what He desires us to do!
Have a blessed day being directed by the LORD!

Don’t judge

“Whoever does what God wants is My brother, sister and mother.”
Mark 3:35 CJB

In other words, those who love Yeshua (Jesus) are our brothers, sisters and mothers; they are our family! We don’t always agree or even get along, but what unites us is Yeshua (Jesus)!

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

As believers, we will always be way better off when we are united in the LORD and His ways, not ours or our opinions!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Today, let’s be focused on the LORD and not on what others say and do! We all can be guilty of being cynical, critiquing and even judgmental of other believers! So be careful of over analyzing other believers!
Have a blessed day loving each other in the LORD!

Praise the LORD

“Moshe and Aharon did all these wonders before Pharaoh, but Adonai has made Pharaoh hardhearted, and he didn’t let the people of Israel leave his land.”
Exodus 11:10 CJB

God does all kinds of wonders daily, the sun rises, the moon shines and flowers bloom to name a few! But, yet the world still is hard hearted towards God.

“Sing to Him, sing praises to Him! Talk about all His wonders.”
1 Chronicles 16:9 CJB

Even though we live in a world full of hard hearted people, that shouldn’t stop us from praising the LORD!

“So I will remind myself of Yah’s doings; yes I will remember your wonders of old.”
Psalm 77:11 CJB

Today, the world is getting increasingly harder hearted towards God and it can get our blood pressure up, but instead let’s remember the great things the LORD has already done! Let’s share His good works and sing His praises today!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!
