Look in the mirror

“You then, why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For all of us will stand before God’s judgment seat; since it is written in the Tanakh, As I live, says Adonai, every knee will bend before me, and every tongue will publicly acknowledge God.”
Romans 14:10-11 CJB also found in Isaiah 45:23

What the LORD is saying here is spend less time looking at other people and their problems and spend more time looking at our own issues!

“So then, every one of us will have to give account of himself to God.”
Romans 14:12 CJB

Remember, we will not be judged on what others do, but we will be judged on what we did!

“When I acknowledge my sin to you, when I stopped concealing my guilt, and said, I will confess my offenses to Adonai; then You, You forgave the guilt of my sin.”
Psalm 32:5 CJB

Today, let’s really do some self reflection and repent of what we do wrong, knowing that the LORD will forgive!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Love one another

“Don’t owe anyone anything-except to love one another; for whoever loves his fellow human being has fulfilled Torah.”
Romans 13:8 CJB

Often times, in many situations we are in, the best thing we can do is just love. It also can be the hardest thing to do! Why? Because the world around us is ugly and full of evil!

“For the commandments, Don’t commit adultery, Don’t murder, Don’t steal, Don’t covet, and any others are summed up in this one rule: Love your neighbors as yourself.”
Romans 13:9 CJB Leviticus 19:18

We may be attacked with words, or even physically. Our first reaction should be love, not attack or fight back! When we can’t love, just walk away!

“Love does not do harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fullness of Torah.”
Romans 13:10 CJB

Today, we need to really try our best to love even when it’s hard! We all are aware of the angry climate in the world around us, but as believers in Yeshua we need to love!
Have a blessed day!

Don’t get offended

“Bless those who persecute you- bless them, don’t curse them!”
Romans 12:14 CJB

Often times when we are cursed at, yelled at or just treated with total disrespect, we just want to act out, return fire so to speak, but don’t! Instead of tripping out, know the LORD sees all and is dealing with it!

“If possible, and to the extent that it depends on you, live in peace with all people.”
Romans 12:18 CJB

I like what Paul is saying to us: be careful of tripping out in situations, but also be reasonable and live as peaceably as possible, avoid conflict and love others!

“Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.”
Romans 12:21 CJB

Today, be careful of getting offended, but instead look for every opportunity to share the love of the LORD!
Have a blessed day sharing the LORD’S goodness!

God’s plan never fails

“Adonai, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars, and I’m the only one left, and now they want to kill me too!”
Romans 11:3 CJB

Paul is quoting how Elijah felt and more than likely himself at times! This is also how we may feel from time to time that the world is trying to kill us!

“But what is God’s answer to him? I have kept for Myself seven thousand men who have knelt down to Ba`al. It’s the same way in the present age: there is a remnant, chosen by grace.”
Romans 11:4-5 CJB

We need to understand no matter how bad things look, we have to remember that the LORD has us covered! Also even the bad stuff in life is part of His glorious plan!

“How blessed are those whose offense is forgiven, those whose sin is covered.”
Psalm 32:1 CJB

Today, don’t get nervous about the pressure the world is putting on us! But instead be encouraged by the grace that the LORD has given us!
May your day be richly blessed!

Trust the LORD

“Since everyone who calls on the name of Adonai will be delivered.”
Romans 10:13 CJB

What a cool and amazing thing it is that anyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved! That is good news and something that is so easy to do: call, repent and be saved!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB

After we call on the LORD and He saves us from all the evils of the world, the best thing we can do for ourselves to build our faith and trust in Him by being in His word!

“So trust comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through a word proclaimed about Messiah.”
Romans 10:17 CJB

Today, we need to get into a practice of calling on the LORD and digging into His word!
Have a blessed day putting all hope and trust in the LORD!
