Follow the LORD

“Adonai said to Moshe, Take the staff, assemble the community, you and Aharon your brother; and before their eyes, tell the rock to produce its water. You will bring them water out of the rock and thus enable the community and their livestock to drink.”
Numbers 20:7-8 CJB

The LORD gives us ordinances and directions on how to walk and live! We all need to be careful on how we follow His instructions, being careful on not misrepresenting them!

“But after Moshe and Aharon had assembled the community in front of the rock, he said to them, Listen here, you rebels! Are we supposed to bring you water from this rock?”
Numbers 20:10 CJB

Here we see Moshe not doing what the LORD tells him to do, but instead being as rebellious as the children of Israel were being! We see Moshe misrepresenting God!

“Then Moshe raised his hand and hit the rock twice with his staff. Water flowed out in abundance, and the community and their live stock drank.”
Numbers 20:11 CJB

It doesn’t matter if Moshe hit the rock one to a hundred times, he still was misrepresenting God, by hitting the rock instead of speaking to it like he was told! The LORD was going to bless the people no matter what! Why? Because, He said he would! We also need to be careful of not following God’s ordinances in His word! But, always remember He will always be gracious to us, His children!
Today do things the easy way by following the LORD!
Shabbat Shalom!

The LORD dwells in us!

“As God’s fellow-workers we also urge you not to receive His grace and then do nothing with it.”
2 Corinthians 6:1 CJB

We are saved by the grace of God, a free gift we received for just repenting and believing in the LORD! But, with grace comes great responsibility, we need to be mindful of walking in His ways and sharing His love!
“Shepherds do not produce sheep. Sheep produce sheep.”

“How can you say, We are wise; Adonai’s Torah is with us, when in fact the lying pen of the scribes has turned it into falsehood?”
Jeremiah 8:8 CJB

In other words, we really are responsible for doing what the LORD says, not just listening to someone’s opinion! We are responsible to share the grace and mercy of God proclaimed by His word!

“What agreement can be between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God-as God said, I will house Myself in them,…and I will walk among you. I will be their God, and they will be My people.”
2 Corinthians 6:16 CJB

This phrase “I will dwell with or in My people” is quoted numerous times in the Bible! What this should tell us is we have not only a responsibility , but a privilege to walk in the way of the LORD, because He dwells with us!
Have a blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Trust in the LORD

“For in this tent, our earthly body, we groan with desire to have around us the home from heaven that will be ours.”
2 Corinthians 5:2 CJB

In the world we have groaning, despair and oppression, which should lead us for a real longing to be with the LORD in Heaven where all things will be perfect!

“Yes, while we are in this body, we groan with the sense of being oppressed: it is not so much that we want to take something off, but rather to put something off, but rather to put something on over it; so that what must die may be swallowed up by the life.”
2 Corinthians 5:4 CJB

We all can feel these things and we should be groaning about the world around us! But, with all the messes going on in the world, we really need to put all our trust in the LORD!

“For we live by trust, not by what we see.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 CJB

Today, no matter how rough things look, our hope and trust needs to be in the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Be renewed in the LORD

“God has shown us such mercy that we do not lose courage as we do the work He has given us.”
2 Corinthians 4:1 CJB

God has given us a passion to do the things that He has called us to do!

“Then you will delight yourself in Adonai, and He will give you your heart’s desire. Commit your way to Adonai; trust in Him, and He will act.”
Psalm 37:4-5 CJB

The desire we should have is to delight in the LORD and He will put His desires in our hearts!

“This is why we do not lose courage. Though our outer self is heading for decay, our inner self is being renewed daily.”
2 Corinthians 4:16 CJB

Today, let’s bask in the mercy of the LORD and take courage in doing the desires He has given us! Our outside may be falling apart, but our spirit is being renewed daily!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Freedom

“Now, Adonai in this text means the Spirit. And where the Spirit of Adonai is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17 CJB

In the world there is always oppression and depression! But, in the Adonai there is peace and freedom!

“He redeems me and gives me peace, so that no one can come near me. For there were many who fought me.”
Psalm 55:18 CJB

The world will always want to fight us and attack us at every corner, but there is peace in the LORD!

“But Adonai is righteous; he cuts me free from the yoke of the wicked.”
Psalm 129:4 CJB

Today, let’s be thankful for the freedom the LORD gives us and share that freedom with the lost! Be careful of arguments and debates, just share the truth and know when to walk away!
Have a blessed day in Him!
