The LORD guides

“Follow the pattern of sound teachings you have from me, with trust and the love which is yours in Messiah Yeshua.”
2 Timothy 1:13 CJB

What Paul is getting at here is we need to be going through the scriptures decently and in order! As a Pharisee he knew the readings of weekly Torah portions and their effectiveness for life! God laid the groundwork through His people, so we can do the same from Genesis to Revelation and start over again, you will hit everything you need!

“Guide my footsteps by Your word; don’t let any kind of sin rule me.”
Psalm 119:133 CJB

When we are going through the word of God we will always get protection, direction, comfort and correction as we navigate the storms of life!

“The main thing about Your word is that it’s true; and all Your rulings last forever.”
Psalm 119:160 CJB

Today, realize, life is always going to be better when we use God’s word to guide us!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Adonai is all we need

“For we have brought nothing into the world; and we can take nothing out of it; so if we have food and clothing, we will be satisfied with theses.”
1 Timothy 6:7-8 CJB

Are we satisfied with food and clothing? Or are we always wanting more? A theme in the Bible is we came in with nothing and we will leave with nothing!

“He said, Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. Adonai gave; Adonai took; blessed be the name of Adonai.”
Job 1:21 CJB

We can find this theme in many other verses, but the question we need to ask: today is are we striving for things that don’t matter? We all need to be striving to serve the LORD, sharing the Good News of Salvation, knowing the LORD will take care of the rest!

“For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evils; because of this craving, some people have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves to the heart with many pains.”
1 Timothy 6:10 CJB

Whether we are rich or poor, money can be something that gets in our way of serving! Don’t get distracted by worldly things! Today, look to the LORD, who will supply all your needs!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Respect

“Do not rebuke an older man sharply, but appeal to him as you would to a father; treat younger men like brothers, older women like mothers and younger like sisters, with purity.”
1 Timothy 5:1-2 CJB

In other words, respect each other. We can all have different opinions on hundreds of different things, but at the end of the day, all that really matters is Yeshua and His salvation!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:18 CJB

It’s real easy to get angry at people for various reasons; it’s harder to love them, the LORD wants us to love and respect others!

“Don’t plot harm against each other; and don’t love perjury; for all these are things I hate, says Adonai.”
Zechariah 8:17 CJB

Let’s be believers who respect and love each other! Realize the LORD is gonna work everything else out!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Trust the LORD

“Here is a statement you can trust, one that fully deserves to be accepted (indeed, it is for this that we toil and strive): we have our hope set on a living God who is delivered of all humanity, especially of those who trust.”
1 Timothy 4:10 CJB

The bottom line is the only thing that we can fully and completely trust is the LORD and His word!

“Your word is a lamp for my foot and a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

We are bombarded with hundreds of different bits of information on a daily basis, but the only thing we can truly trust is the LORD and His word!

“Until I come, pay attention to the public reading of the Scriptures.”
1 Timothy 4:13 CJB

Today, know that we can always trust and rely on the word of God and we must read it several times a day for our own well being!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Be careful

“Furthermore, he must be well regarded by outsiders, so that he won’t fall into disgrace and into the Adversary’s trap.”
1 Timothy 3:7 CJB

In other words, we need to always be on guard because our Adversary is always out to get us! That’s why we need to be careful in all that we say and do!

“Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
1 Peter 5:8 CJB

Realize the enemy isn’t attacking unbelievers, he is out to get believers!

“I will meditate on your precepts and keep my eyes on your ways.”
Psalm 119:15 CJB

Today, the way to keep the Adversary at bay is by being in His word!
Have a blessed day in Yeshua!
