Last days

“But now, in the acharit – hayamim (last days), He has spoken to us through His Son, to whom He has given ownership of everything and through whom He created the universe.”
Hebrews 1:2 CJB

I believe we are living in the last days according to Scripture and the events we see happening in the world around us! God has warned us about these things through His word, He has also given us directions on what to do!

“First, understand this: during Last Days, scoffers will come, following their own desires.”
2 Peter 3:3 CJB

We don’t only see self – serving people in the world, but we also see it in the body of believers! People in the congregation only worried about their bottom line and preachers in the pulpit advancing their own financial gain and fame! Should we be worried? No, because we’ve been warned by the LORD! What should we do?

“Stay alert! Be on your guard! For you do not know when the time will come.”
Mark 13:33 CJB

Today, stay alert don’t be afraid, watch, pray and share about the LORD at every opportunity! Soon we will be in the presence of the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Be refreshed

“Yes, brother, please do me this favor in the LORD; refresh my heart in the Messiah.”
Philemon 1:20 CJB

In this day and age, we all need to have our hearts: refreshed and renewed! The simplest things can refresh our hearts a kind word, a young couple praying in a restaurant or just hearing God bless you can do the trick!

“I am melting away from anxiety and grief; renew my strength, in keeping with Your word.”
Psalm 119:28 CJB

Life can and does wear us out. Simple acts of kindness toward us and toward others can be all that we need to get us through the day!

“Protect me, God, for you are my refuge.”
Psalm 16:1 CJB

Today, we all may be feeling stressed and distressed. The best thing we can do is encourage others! Remember, our actions and reactions toward other really do matter!
Have a blessed day in the LORD!

Judges

“You are to appoint judges and officers for all your gates [ in the cities] Adonai your God is giving you, tribe by tribe; and they are to judge the people with righteous judgement.”
Deuteronomy 16:18 CJB

We are all required to be fair. We shouldn’t have a set of rules for ourselves and a different set of rules for others! We need to be fair!

“You are not to distort justice or show favoritism, and you are not to accept a bribe, for a gift blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of even the upright.”
Deuteronomy 16:19 CJB

One of the biggest problems we see in the Church today is there is one set of rules for leaders and a different set of rules for the people! Just like in politics, the Church has become no different than the world!

“”Justice, only justice you must pursue; so that you will live and inherit the land Adonai your God is giving you.”
Deuteronomy 16:20 CJB

Today, just because leaders in the world and in the church are being unrighteous, doesn’t mean we believers have to! So let’s be upright, be careful how we judge, be fair and be godly when we act!
Have a blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Walk away

“Warn a divisive person once, then a second time; and after that, have nothing more to do with them.”
Titus 3:10 CJB

Avoid stupidity, be careful of getting into arguments! We need to warn people and share the Good News of Salvation with them, but if they are divisive, just walk away!

“Don’t follow the path of the wicked or walk on the way of evildoers. Avoid it, don’t go on it, turn away from it, and pass on.”
Proverbs 4:14-15 CJB

We will always be better off in life when we avoid stupidity! Stay away from pointless arguments and social media debates!

“Don’t you know that ever since time began, ever since humans were placed on earth, that the triumph of the wicked is always short – lived, and the joy of the ungodly is gone in a moment?”
Job 20:4-5 CJB

Today, understand, ungodly wicked people will not last! They always come to an end! We who are in the LORD have eternal life and that should bring us great joy and a desire to share the Good News of Salvation!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Seek light

“For God’s grace, which brings deliverance, has appeared to all people.”
Titus 2:11 CJB

The truth is that everyone has the same access to deliverance from sin, it’s just a confession away! We all have access to the Grace of God, we just have to want it!

“It teaches us to renounce godlessness and worldly pleasures, and to live self – controlled, upright and godly lives now, in this age.”
Titus 2:12 CJB

The world around us is godless and filled with people living in sin, having no desire or want for the LORD!

“Now this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness rather than the light. Why? Because their actions were wicked.”
John 3:19 CJB

Today, we need to realize that people love darkness and sin more than light! We as believers need to be reflecting the light of the LORD more!
Have a blessed day being light!
