Don’t mix

“You are not to wear clothing woven with two kinds of thread, wool and linen together.”
Deuteronomy 22:11 CJB

If you put wool and linen together, the wool will shrink and the linen won’t when you wash it, that would be a disaster! The point the LORD is making is: don’t mix with the world!

“Eliyahu stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going to jump back and forth between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if it’s Ba’al, follow him! The people answered him not a word.”
1 Kings 18:21 CJB

The idea here is when we go out into the world, we need to walk in it, but don’t mix with it! Why? Because disaster will always ensue!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

Today, when you go out, remember life is full of decisions and we must always chose Yeshua first! Be careful of mixing with the world!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Walk in harmony with the LORD

“For every Cohen Gadol (high priest or pastor) taken from among men is appointed to act on people’s behalf with regard to things concerning God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sin.”
Hebrews 5:1 CJB

Priests, Pastors and Rabbis need to be for and about serving the people, not self! They need to be relatable and walk according to the word of God!

“For where there are jealousy and selfish ambition, there will be disharmony and every foul practice.”
James 3:16 CJB

We all really need to be careful of being self-centered people! We need to be willing and able to serve others! When leaders stray from sound doctrine, they end up walking in disharmony with the word of God!

“Serve Adonai with gladness. Enter His presence with joyful songs.”
Psalm 100:2 CJB

Today, be aware that there are many self-serving men and women out there! We just need to be mindful and prayerful about them and not be part of what they are doing! We will always be better off when we walk in harmony with the LORD!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Rest

“Therefore, let us do our best to enter that rest; so that no one will fall short because of the same kind of disobedience.”
Hebrews 4:11 CJB

Often times in life, we find ourselves laboring and striving instead of just resting in the LORD!

“My safety and honor rest on God. My strong rock and refuge are in God.”
Psalm 62:7 CJB

When we find ourselves relying on politicians, health care and bank accounts for rest, we actually find ourselves in disobedience toward God!

“Taste, and see that Adonai is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in Him!”
Psalm 34:8 CJB

Today, let’s look to the LORD for our refuge. That’s where we will find our rest!
Have a blessed day in Him!

He created all

“For every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God.”
Hebrews 3:4 CJB

We can see all kinds of things around us designed and built by man. We can be consumed and in awe of all these things, but remember the LORD created everything!

“Adonai made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of disaster.”
Proverbs 16:4 CJB

Realize the LORD is the designer and creator of all things, even things we may not understand, so be encouraged because we are created for Him!

“Furthermore, we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called in accordance with His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 CJB

Today, as we look at the messed up world around us, know the LORD has a perfect plan!
Have a blessed day loving Him!

Take heed

“Therefore, we must pay much more careful heed to the things we have heard, so that we will not drift away.”
Hebrews 2:1 CJB

What a good word here for us. We all need to pay better attention to the things we heard from the LORD in His word!

“I treasure Your word in my heart, so that I won’t sin against You.”
Psalm 119:11 CJB

A good question to ask ourselves: Are we more concerned about the LORD or the events going on around us?

“Stay alert, stand firm in the faith, behave like a mentsh (being courageous), grow strong.”
1 Corinthians 16:13 CJB

Today, as the world becomes increasingly foolish, we need to be strong and continue to heed and do what the LORD says!
Have a blessed day!
