Don’t give up

“And Ya`akov (Jacob) was left alone. Then some Man wrestled with him until daybreak.”
Genesis 32:25 CJB, Genesis 32:24 NKJB

Are we wrestling with God in prayer over situations and needs, or does our prayer life consist of wants and maybe dinner? Understand when we do wrestle with God, He will always win and it may even hurt, but it’s all for our own good, so don’t let go!

“When He saw that He did not defeat Yaakov He struck Yaakov’s hip socket, so that his hip was dislocated while wrestling with Him.”
Genesis 32:26 CJB, Genesis 32:25 NKJB

It’s not that God couldn’t defeat Jacob, it’s Jacob didn’t give up and wasn’t letting go of the LORD until He answered Him! We need to do the same: never giving up on a prayer and seeking the LORD!

“Pray regularly.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17 CJB

Today, let our prayer lives be without ceasing, never giving up! Pray until the LORD sends us an anwser!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Laughter is good

“Avraham was one hundred years old when his son Yitz`chak (Isaac) [laughter] was born to him.”
Genesis 21:5 CJB

Everytime we just wait on the LORD, He will always give us joy and laughter! When we try to help Him or do things our way is when we have misery.

“Sarah said, God has given me good reason to laugh; now everyone who hears about it will laugh with me.”
Genesis 21:6 CJB

The LORD really wants us to have a life filled with His joy no matter what our situations may be!

“Still, I will rejoice in Adonai, I will take joy in the God of my salvation.”
Habakkuk 3:18 CJB

Today, no matter how rough and tough life may be, our LORD wants us to go through it with His joy and laughter! Remember we are saved and are going to be with Him soon!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Choose God

“But God came to Avimelekh in a dream one night and said to him, You are about to die because of the woman you have taken, since she is someone’s wife.”
Genesis 20:3 CJB

Even after Avraham misrepresents God and lies about Sarah being his sister, God still gives Avimelekh a way out of sinning! God will always gives us warnings!

“Eliyahu stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going to jump back and forth between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if it’s Ba`al follow him! The people answered him not a word.”
1 Kings 18:21 CJB

Through out the day we have many choices to make, we will never go wrong when we choose God in every one of them!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

Today, remember God always gives us a choice in every situation and the right choice is always going to be Him! A good question to always ask is: LORD how would You deal with this situation?
Have a blessed day doing what is right!

Repent

“When they had brought them out, he said, Flee for your life! Don’t look behind you, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain, but escape to the hills! Otherwise you will be swept away.”
Genesis 19:17 CJB

The Angels tell Lot and his family to get out of town fast and don’t look back at the city of sin and evil!

“Lot said to them, Please, no, my lord!”
Genesis 19:18 CJB

We hear alot about Lot’s wife looking back, but even Lot didn’t really want to leave or let go of sin city! Do we hold onto things? Grudges, jealousies or envies, to name a few! Don’t allow the sinful places you left have a toe hold on you!

“Create in me a clean heart, God; renew in me a resolute spirit.”
Psalm 51:12 CJB, 51:10 NKJB

If you are holding onto stuff, let go and be like David and ask the LORD to give you a new heart!

“Restore my joy in Your salvation, and let a willing spirit uphold me.”
Psalm 51:14 CJB, 51:12 NKJB

Today, let’s not be like Lot, holding onto sin, but let’s be like David, rejecting and repenting so the LORD can give us a new and clean heart!
Have a blessed day with a renewed spirit in the LORD!

Believe

“Is anything too hard for Adonai? At the time set for it, at this season next year, I will return to you; and Sarah will have a son.”
Genesis 18:14 CJB

The answer to the question is: “nothing is too hard for the LORD”! Even though Avraham and Sarah are old, Adonai said Sarah will have a son and she laughed, she didn’t believe!

“Sarah denied it, saying, I didn’t either laugh, because she was afraid. He said, Not so-you did laugh.”
Genesis 18:15 CJB

We often do the same. God promises us something and we don’t believe it or we think it can’t happen to us! We think only other people get miracles or blessings, but not us!

Instantly the father of the child exclaimed, I do trust-help my lack of trust!”
Mark 9:24 CJB

Here we see a father bring his sick son to Yeshua because he believed, but really didn’t believe he could heal him! We, too, can believe in Yeshua, but lack belief. He can deal with our situation or needs! Be careful of just laughing things off. Remember the LORD can do anything!
Today, let’s trust that the LORD can and will take care of our problems and needs!

Have a blessed day in Him!
