Follow God

“These are the mitzvot (commandments) and rulings which Adonai gave through Moshe to the people of Israel in the plains of Mo’av by Yarden, across from Jericho.”
Numbers 36:13 CJB

As this book ends Moshe’s public ministry with the people of Israel, it showed all their failure, rebellion, complaining and tears, which we can also see in our lives! It also shows us a picture of our lives. We can also walk in rebellion or do life God’s way! The choice is always ours!

“Eliyahu stepped forward before all the people and said, How long are you going to jump back and forth between two positions? If Adonai is God, follow Him; but if it’s Ba`al, follow him! The answered him not a word.”
1 Kings 18:21 CJB

We all have the same choice to make: God or the gods of the world! Understand we can’t serve both and we really do need to give an answer!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

Today, we all really need to be about serving God and the best way to do that is follow His mitzvot (commands). Why? Because life His way is always going to be better!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Yeshua is our refuge

“Tell the people of Israel, When you cross the Yarden into the land of Kena`an, you are to designate for yourselves cities of refuge for you, to which anyone who kills someone by mistake can flee.”
Numbers 35:10-11 CJB

So thankful that we have Yeshua as our city of refuge, but you might say I haven’t killed anyone! We need to listen to what Yeshua said about that!

“You have heard that our fathers were told, Do not murder, and that anyone who commits murder will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who nurses anger against his brother will be subject to judgment; that whoever calls his brother, You good-for-nothing! will be brought before the Sanhedrin; that whoever says, Fool! incurs the penalty of burning in the fire of Gei-Hinnom!”
Matthew 5:21-22 CJB

According to Yeshua, even if we have evil or angry thoughts against someone, we’ve technically murdered them in our hearts!
We need to be so thankful that Yeshua is our refuge! Why? Ask yourself how many times do you get angry with someone?

“Adonai is righteous in all His ways, full of grace in all He does.”
Psalm 145:17 CJB

Today, know that we are all guilty at one time or the other of murdering someone, hopefully not physically, but for sure in our heart or mind! We need to be thankful for Yeshua being our refuge!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Celebrate salvation

“Therefore you are to observe this regulation at its proper time, year after year.”
Exodus 13:10 CJB

Not just the seven days of unleavened bread, but Pesach (Passover) as well! Why? As believers we should take time to remove the leaven (sin) from our lives and reflect on how God passed over our sins by His blood!

“Yah is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. This is my God: I will glorify Him; my father’s God: I will exalt Him.”
Exodus 15:2 CJB

Everything really does revolve around Adonai and the amazing things He’s done and will do!

“Shout for joy to Adonai, all the earth!”
Psalm 100:1 CJB

Today, as somber as Pesach (Passover) can be, we as believers should see the joy of celebrating salvation, not year after year, but day after day!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!
Chag Pesach!

God keeps His promises

“Adonai told Moshe to give this order to the people of Israel: When you enter the land of Kena’an, it will become your land to pass on as an inheritance, the land of Kena’an as defined by these borders.”
Numbers 34:1-2 CJB

This chapter really gives us the God’s unmistakable borders of the land of Israel. Regardless of who tries to claim it today, the land belongs to Israel! God keeps His promises!

“For I say that the Messiah became a servant of the Jewish people in order to show God’s truthfulness by making good His promises to the Patriarchs.”
Romans 15:8 CJB

One of the greatest things we can do is repeatedly tell the story of God keeping His promises, reminding ourselves and others of how He says what He means and means what He says!

“On that day you are to tell your son, It is because of what Adonai did for me when I left Egypt.”
Exodus 13:8 CJB

Everyday is a good day to share what Adonai has done and how He keeps His promises, He will get us through!
Have a blessed day sharing with others!
Shabbat Shalom!
Chag Pesach!

Be encouraged

“Moshe recorded each of the stages of their journey by order of Adonai; here are the starting-points of each stage.”
Numbers 33:2 CJB

It is good for us to remember and even record the great things that Adonai has done for us. It helps us to be encouraged in our present situations!

“Only fear Adonai, and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; for think what great things he has done for you!”
1 Samuel 12:24 CJB

Life can be and is challenging from time to time. Having reminders of the great things He has done for us can strengthen us.

“Adonai is near those with broken hearts; He saves those whose spirit is crushed.”
Psalm 34:18 CJB

No matter what season you may be in, good or bad, remember Adonai is with you and is getting you through!
Have a blessed day knowing that Adonai will get you through! Just remember the ones He has already gotten you through!
