Don’t be distracted

“As the ark of Adonai entered the City of David, Mikhal the daughter of Saul, watching from the window, saw King David leaping and spinning before Adonai; and she was filled with contempt for him.”
2 Samuel 6:20 CJB

Are we like Mikhal, judging people on the way they worship and serve God? Or do we just focus on what we are doing for Adonai?

“Do not be unjust in judging-show neither partiality to the poor nor defense to the mighty, but with justice judge your neighbor.”
Leviticus 19:15 CJB

In other words, we are not to take sides like the world does! The only side we should take is the side of Adonai!

“Help us against our enemy, for human help is worthless. With God’s help we will fight valiantly, for He will trample our enemies.”
Psalm 108:12-13 CJB

We will always have issues in life and will be put in situations to choose one side or the other! What we need to do in every situation is chose the side of God and be careful of judging others!
Have a blessed day!

Adonai has all the answers

“David consulted Adonai, asking, Should I attack the Philistine? Will you hand them over to me? Adonai answered David, Attack; I will certainly hand the Philistine over to you.”
2 Samuel 5:19 CJB

Here we see the Philistines (the world) wanted to ruin David as they had done to Saul, but David consulted Adonai on what to do and not reacting on his own feelings!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB

We need to call on Adonai for everything! Why? Because He is our everything! Also remember the world is always going to try and ruin you! So don’t react, just call on Adonai!

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 CJB

We can and do have problems in life, but remember God is bigger than all our problems and He is all the strength we will ever need!
May your day be blessed!

God will deal with it!

“How much more, when criminals have killed an innocent man in his own house on his own bed, shouldn’t I hold you responsible for his death and rid the earth of you?”
2 Samuel 4:11 CJB

Why do people think they can help God out by doing incredibly stupid things? God will deal with getting justice and taking vengeance, we don’t need to!

“Vengeance and payback are Mine for the time when their foot slips; for the day of their calamity is coming soon, their doom is rushing upon them.”
Deuteronomy 32:35 CJB

We all need to be careful of taking matters into our own hands!

“Never seek revenge, my friends; instead, leave that to God’s anger; for in the Tanakh it is written, Adonai says, ‘Vengeance is My responsibility; I will repay.'”
Romans 12:19 CJB

There is so much that goes on throughout our day that we should just simply let go and let God deal with it!
Have a blessed day giving it all to God!
Shabbat Shalom!

Show some love

“They buried Avner at Hevron; the king wept aloud at Avner’s grave, and all the people wept.”
2 Samuel 3:32 CJB

Here we see David’s enemy Avner is dead, but instead of celebrating, David mourns! Do we weep for our enemies, do we pray for them or do we condemn them!

“But I tell you, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!”
Matthew 5:44 CJB

It is really easy to love people that we love and care for, it is harder to love someone who persecutes you or reviles you!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:18 CJB

Adonai really does desire us to love our neighbors as ourselves!
We all need to be careful of holding grudges, taking vengeance or trash talk about people!

“Don’t plot harm against each other; and don’t love perjury; for all these are things I hate, says Adonai.”
Zechariah 8:17 CJB

So, let’s love people around us today! Understand with all the turmoil in the world, it really could use some love!
Have a blessed day loving people!
Shabbat Shalom!
