Be honest

“So I stood next to him (Saul) and killed him, because I was sure he was so badly wounded that he couldn’t live. I took the crown that was on his head and the bracelet on his arm and have brought them here to my lord.”
2 Samuel 1:10 CJB

This young man was trying to impress David, lying and getting himself into deadly trouble! In 1 Samuel 31:3-6, tells us that Saul committed suicide!

“Do not let grace and truth leave you-bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.”
Proverbs 3:3 CJB

When we walk in the truth, God’s truth, we will always be better off! We need to be honest and speak truth, even if it’s not popular, even if friends and family reject us!

“Nothing gives me greater joy than hearing that my children are living in truth.”
3 John 1:4 CJB

Today, let’s walk in God’s truth and be honest in what we say and do! Why? Because it pleases Him and gives Him joy in us, His children!
Have a blessed day walking in God’s truths!

Peace

“Obey and pay attention to everything I am ordering you to do, so that things will go well with you and your descendants after you forever, as you do what Adonai sees as good and right.”
Deuteronomy 12:28 CJB

When we obey and do what Adonai tells us to do through His word, we will see how things will always go well for us! We will have peace!

“All your children will be taught by Adonai; your children will have great peace.”
Isaiah 54:13 CJB

When we are doing things God’s way our children will see it and do the same!

“Dear friends, don’t trust every spirit. On the contrary, test the spirits to see whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
1 John 4:1 CJB

Today, we need to pay attention and do what God says. We also need to be careful of listening to people who say things that don’t line up with scripture! When we test what they say with scripture, we will always see the loving hand of God and rest in His peace!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Repent

“Thus Sha’ul, his three sons, his armor-bearer and all his men died that same day together.”
1 Samuel 31:6 CJB

God really doesn’t let anyone get away with sinning without repenting! The problem is when we blatantly sin it will affect other people, especially family members and acquaintances!
Sin is a cancer that grows and kills, not only the sinner but those around them!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.”
Numbers 32;23 CJB

Never think that you can get away with even a little sin or think that your sin only affects you! It doesn’t! We can even take it a step further: our unrepentant leaders who are doing evil things that affect all of us! What do we do? Pray!

“Then, if My people, who bear My name, will humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 CJB

Today, we need to not only pray and repent for ourselves, but we need to pray for others to repent also! Don’t waste time pointing out the obvious sinners, but instead pray for them, God will deal with the ones He needs to!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

God is all we need

“So when David and his men arrived at the city, there it was, burned down, with their wives, sons and daughters taken captive.”
1 Samuel 30:3 CJB

David goes from being hunted, rejected and now everything is taken away from him! His men want to stone him to death and what does he do next? He calls on Adonai!

“David was in serious trouble: the people were talking about stoning him to death, because all the people were in such deep grief, each man over his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in Adonai his God.”
1 Samuel 30:6 CJB

When we hit the proverbial wall or our back is up against it, what do we do? Do we call on God? Or do we reach out to everything and everybody we can? We need to call on God first and then wait for Him to answer!

“On the day of my trouble I am calling on you, for you will answer me.”
Psalm 86:7 CJB

We all have things in life that will blind side us! What we need to do is not panic, but simply call on Adonai and wait for Him to answer, because He always answers!
Have a blessed day resting in the peace only God can give!

Comfort in Adonai

“Akhish answered David, I know that you are as good, from my point of view, as an angel of God. Nevertheless, the chiefs of the Philistines have said, He is not to go up with us to the battlefield.”
1 Samuel 29:9 CJB

David, was rejected by his own and now rejected by the Philistines! As believers we can be like David completely all alone! The good news is with Adonai we are never alone!

“Turn to me, and show favor; for I am alone and oppressed.”
Psalm 25:16 CJB

Anytime we feel alone, we need to call upon Adonai for comfort. He will always answer and He never fails!

“In my distress my comfort is this: that Your promise gives me life.”
Psalm 119:50 CJB

Today, understand we will always be rejected by the world, which is good when we are walking with Adonai! Also any problem we have we will find comfort in Adonai!
Have a blessed day living in the comforting area of Yeshua!
