Wait

“So David’s reputation spread to all countries, and Adonai brought fear of him to all nations.”
1 Chronicles 14:17 CJB

David called on Adonai, listened to His words and then did them as Adonai instructed! Then Adonai did the work and the people saw God in David, which caused the nations to fear!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise: and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB

The first thing in any situation is we need to call on Adonai and wait for His reply! Don’t call on Him and then proceed, but wait!

“Adonai takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who wait for his grace.”
Psalm 147:11 CJB

Today, take the time to call on Adonai, but also take the time to wait!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!

Invite God in

“The ark of God stayed with the family of ‘Oved-Edom the Gitti in his house for three months; and Adonai blessed the household of ‘Oved-Edom and all he had.”
1 Chronicles 13:14 CJB

Like Oved(Obed)-Edom when we have God in our house we will be blessed!

“I was glad when they said to me, The house of Adonai! Let’s go!”
Psalm 122:1 CJB

Anytime we can dwell in the house of Adonai or have Adonai permeate our house we are going to be glad! How can we have God in our home? By getting rid of the worldly things that dwell there! Like bad media, bad movies and bad music, then replacing it with godly stuff, being in His word and singing praises!

“Just one thing have I asked of Adonai; only this will I seek: to live in the house of Adonai all the days of my life, to see the beauty of Adonai and visit in His temple.”
Psalm 27:4 CJB

Today, we all have a choice to make: bring godly and holy stuff into our houses or allow the junk of the world in!
Have a blessed day bringing godly stuff in!

Follow God

“All this is because Abraham heeded what I said and did what I told him to do-he followed my mitzvot, my regulations and my teachings.”
Genesis 26:5 CJB

God promised Abraham that He will make him a great nation and all Abraham had to do is follow the directions God gave him! Remember Abraham wasn’t perfect, he just followed God!

“Obey My commands, and live; guard my teaching like the pupil of your eye.”
Proverbs 7:2 CJB

God really desires us to walk in His ways because His ways are always best for us! The best thing we can do for our families, especially our children, is to walk in His ways!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Today, let’s be all about following and doing what Adonai says! We will always be better off doing so!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Glorify God

“They were archers who could use either hand to sling stones or shoot arrows from a bow; they were Sha’ul’s kinsmen from Binyamin (Benjamin).”
1 Chronicles 12:2 CJB

God has given us all skills so we can serve Him! We also need to be able to use those skills to defend ourselves from the world around us! What skill do we all have at our disposal? His Word!

“Your word is a lamp for my foot and light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 CJB

We will always find the skills we need for this battle of life in the word of God, it has everything we need!

“My shield is God, who saves the upright in heart.”
Psalm 7:10 CJB

Today, know our skills come directly from Adonai and He desires us to use them for His glory!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Thanksgiving

“The three broke through the army of the P’lishtim (Philistines), drew water from the well by the gate of Beit-Lechem (Bethlehem), took it and brought it to David. But David would not drink it; instead, he poured it out to Adonai.”
1 Chronicles 11:18 CJB

Do we sacrifice for Adonai and are we willing give unto Adonai! This is what David’s men did for David and then David gave all to Adonai! Even bigger was what Yeshua did for all of us. He came into the gates of the enemy and poured Himself out for us all!

“I am poured out like water; all My bones are out of joint; My heart has becomes like wax-it melts Me.”
Psalm 22:14 CJB

In other words: “He took our hell that we might share His heaven.” J.Vernon McGee. This is something we need to be totally thankful for!

“Give thanks to Adonai; for He is good, for His grace continues forever.”
1 Chronicles 16:34 CJB

Today, let’s be believers who sacrificially give and ones who are so thankful for what Adonai gave!
Have a blessed day being Thankful!
