Don’t mix with the world

“But Z’rubavel, Yeshua and the rest of the heads of fathers clans in Israel answered them, You and we have nothing in common that you should join us in building a house for our God. We will
build by ourselves for Adonai the God of Israel, as Koresh king in Persia ordered us to do.”
Ezra 4:3 CJB

Here we see the world trying to partner with believers and Zerubbabel and Joshua say, “no we have nothing to do with you”! This is the same answer we should give when the world tries to partner with us and we shouldn’t and neither should we try!

“You have no part at all in this matter; because in the eyes of God, your heart is crooked.”
Acts 8:21 CJB

We all need to be careful of the deceitfulness of the world, the world is always trying to trip you up, the world is crooked!

“Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion for someone to devour.”
1 Peter 5:8 CJB

Today, let’s be watching and praying because our enemy is always out to stumble us! Keep your eyes focused on God and stay alert!
May your day be richly blessed!

God rebuilds

“But many of the cohanim (priests), L’vi’im (Levites) and heads of fathers clans, the old men who had seen the first house standing on its foundation, wept out loud when they saw this house; while others shouted out loud for joy-so that the people couldn’t distinguish the noise of the joyful shouting from the noise of the people’s weeping; for the people were shouting so loudly that the noise could be heard at a great distance.”
Ezra 3:12-13 CJB

These verses can and are interpreted a few different ways! But I believe the best way to look at it is that the ones who were shouting for joy were excited to see the house of Adonai being built for the very first time! Then the old ones weeping because they saw the old house destroyed and now are seeing the new one being built after being in captivity fo seventy years! I believe these are tears of joy and awe of the amazing things God was doing! Remember these old men were very young children when they saw the temple destroyed and now as old men they are seeing it rebuilt!

“This has come from Adonai, and in our eyes it is amazing.”
Psalm 118:23 CJB

I believe that God can and does do amazing things which should lead us to tears and shouts of joy! We should always be in awe of God!

“This is the day Adonai has made, a day for us to rejoice and be glad.”
Psalm 118:24 CJB

Today, let’s just celebrate the fact that everything God does is amazing and everyday should lead us into rejoicing! Remember He rebuilt your heart!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!

Repent

“Now, therefore, please forgive my sin just this once; and intercede with Adonai your God, so that He will at least take away from me this deadly plague.”
Exodus 10:17 CJB

This is always interesting to me, when people are caught in sin and things aren’t going the way they want them to go! Suddenly they need God, I guess they have come to there Jesus moment! The sad thing is once the situation blows over they go right back to doing the same thing, just like Pharaoh!

“Just as a dog returns to his vomit, a fool repeats his folly.”
Proverbs 26:11 CJB

God, desires us to repent, turn around and not return to doing the same thing again!

“He who conceals his sin will not succeed; he who confesses and abandons them will gain mercy.”
Proverbs 28:13 CJB

Yeshua didn’t save us so we can return to the vomit of sin. He saved us so we can turn from our wicked ways and move on to serving Him in His glorious ways!

“No, I tell you. Rather, unless you turn from your sins, yo will all die similarly.”
Luke 13:5 CJB

Today, we all really need to be careful of returning to our past sins! Repent and move on in Adonai! Remember, He is always willing to forgive!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Give

“Some of the heads of fathers clans, when they came to the house of Adonai in Yerushalayim, made voluntary offerings for rebuilding the house of God on its site.”
Ezra 2:68 CJB

How much and how often do we voluntarily give to Adonai? Or do we just give the bare minimums? The more we give, praying, serving and money, the more God’s kingdom will grow!

“Give Adonai His due, you who are godly; give Adonai His due glory and strength.”
Psalm 29:1 CJB

No matter how we look at it, we need to be giving everything we can to God! Why? Because He has given us everything! The biggest thing is we are not going to spend eternity in hell, but instead we get to spend eternity dwelling with Adonai!

“On that day you will say, Give thanks to Adonai! Call on His name! Make His deeds known among the peoples, declare how exalted is His name.”
Isaiah 12:4 CJB

What day? Everyday, because it is a gift from God! So today, let’s willingly give God all our praise, all the glory and all the thanks we can give!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Call to God

“Here is what Koresh(Cyrus) king of Persia says: Adonai, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms on earth; and he has charged me to build Him a house in Yerushalayim, in Y’hudah.”
Ezra 1:2 CJB

In other words, God is in control of all things and it is He who can give or take away! Here we see the king of Persia, Cyrus, acknowledging that!

“The earth is Adonai’s, with all that is in it, the world and those who live there.”
Psalm 24:1 CJB

All things belong to God, which means we also belong to Him! This is why we should worship Him and give Him glory for all things! Also we need to call out to Him for direction in everything we do!

“Bless our God, you peoples! Let the sound of His praise be heard!”
Psalm 66:8 CJB

Today, let’s be all about praising God! Why? Because everything belongs to Him and we get to be part of His glorious kingdom!
Have a blessed day praising God!
