Do what God says

“First you steal, murder, commit, adultery, swear falsely, offer to Ba`al and go after other gods that you haven’t known.”
Jeremiah 7:9 CJB

Like the people of Israel were talking about the beauty of the temple and praising Adonai, the sad thing is they were also worshipping the false god Ba`al at the same time! The sadder thing is many so-called believers do the same today! We also need to check ourselves on what we watch, listen to and go to!

“Then you come and stand before Me in this house that bears My name and say, ‘We are saved’-so that you can go on doing these abominations!”
Jeremiah 7:10 CJB

This is one of the things that we need to be concerned with in our own lives is what we do and don’t do! God allowed Israel to go into captivity for these practices, don’t think for a moment that He will allow us to get away with it! What do we do? We take a good look in the mirror and repent, God is always faithful to forgive!

“Rather, what I did order them was this: ‘Pay attention to what I say. Then I will be your God, and you will be My people. In everything, live according to the way that I order you, so that things will go well for you.'”
Jeremiah 7:23 CJB

This is the one thing we can always bank on to have an easier life, is by doing what God lays out for us to do in His word, don’t add or subtract, just do!
So may your day be richly blessed by being in the Word of God so you’ll know what to do!
Shabbat Shalom!

Seek God early

“Here is what Adonai says: Stand at the crossroads and look; ask about the ancient paths, ‘Which one is the good way?’ Take it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not take it.'”
Jeremiah 6:16 CJB

Here is the deal: when we are on the crossroads of life, wondering what to do, don’t look for some new way, but look to the old ways of God that are proven and true!

“Adonai, in the morning You will hear my voice; in the morning I lay my needs before You and wait expectantly.”
Psalm 5:3 CJB

Why the morning? Because it is when we start our day and there is no better way to start our day then seeking Adonai! It is so important that we start our day with Adonai, seeking Him for our directions and concerns we have!

“When you seek Me, you will find Me, provided you seek Me wholeheartedly.”
Jeremiah 29:13 CJB

Today, seek God early, wait expectantly for an answer and walk in the confidence of Adonai! Also don’t get distracted with new and foolish ways stick with the old tried and true ways of Adonai!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Be honest with God

“And through they say, ‘As Adonai lives,’ the fact is that they are swearing falsely.”
Jeremiah 5:2 CJB

There are so many people out there who say the same things, “as God lives or it’s the will of God” that swear falsely, they really don’t believe in God! The problem with many of these people is that as soon as hard times hit they run from God! Why? Because they really have no real belief in God!

“Hear this, stupid brainless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear: Don’t you fear Me?-says Adonai. Won’t you tremble at My presence? I made the shore the limit for the sea; by eternal decree it cannot pass. Its waves may toss, but to no avail; although they roar, they cannot cross it.”
Jeremiah 5:21-22 CJB

Jeremiah uses some strong language here! Why? Because the people claimed to be God’s people, but acted like the pagan world around them, no different than many so called believers today! What are we to do? REPENT!

“But I will call on God, and Adonai will save me.”
Psalm 55:16 CJB

We all need to understand that we can’t act like the world and then claim we are walking with God! Today, let’s choose to walk with Adonai and walk in His ways! Anything else is just being stupid!
Have a blessed day calling on Adonai!

Be on guard

“Your own ways and your own actions have brought these things on yourselves. This is your wickedness, so bitter! It has reached your very heart.”
Jeremiah 4:18 CJB

If we are honest, we all know we have wicked thoughts and we need to keep ourselves in check constantly!

“The heart is more deceitful than anything else and mortally sick. Who can fathom it?”
Jeremiah 17:9 CJB

Sadly our hearts can be wicked and what is sadder is we try to justify our wickedness, even with scripture! That is what the enemy does, be careful of the traps of the enemy!

“Now the serpent was more crafty than any wild animal which Adonai, God, had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, ‘You are not to eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Genesis 3:1 CJB

We all need to be careful of the enemy! Why? Because he is craftier than all of us and is always looking for ways to cast doubt, deceive and cause havoc in our lives!

“Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a lion looking for someone to devour.”
1 Peter 5:8 CJB

Today, with all the evil in the world and knowing our hearts can be wicked, we need to be very vigilant and on guard!
So pray for people, encourage one another and keep your eyes focused on Adonai!

Return to God!

“Return, backsliding children, and I will heal your backsliding. Here we are, we are coming to You, for You are Adonai our God.”
Jeremiah 3:22 CJB

Understand, that God always wants us to return to Him because we have a habit of drifting away!

“I will give Them a heart to know Me that I am Adonai. They will be My people, and I will be their God; for they will return to Me with all their heart.”
Jeremiah 24:7 CJB

Jewish people look at salvation as returning unto God, because they belonged to Him to begin with and they have wandered away!

“Then I will teach the wicked Your ways, and sinners will return to You.”
Psalm 51:15 CJB

So today, if you feel like you’ve wandered away from Adonai, then today, is a good day to return to Him!
May your day be richly blessed!
