Shabbat Shalom

And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.”

Matthew 14:23-24

What a picture of things today, the LORD is above praying for us and we are in the storms of life! We need to be reminded even in the storms the LORD still has us covered and protected! When we think its game over, Jesus always shows up!

“But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27

Let us be comforted today that no matter what is going on in life, the LORD knows! He is praying for you and is in full control of all situations personal and world wide, ALL!

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27

Today don’t get caught up in the chaos of the world, but rest in the LORD instead! We can be absorbed into the worldly scenes being played out around us, But be of good cheer and be consumed by the abundant peace the LORD has for us! Shabbat Shalom!

Hear and share!

“A lion has roared! Who will fear? The LORD GOD has spoken! Who can prophesy? Amos 3:8

If you were in a jungle and heard a lion roar, you’d probably get nervous or even panic! When we hear a lion roar in a zoo or at a circus it entertains us! Sad to say it’s kind of like the church today.

“Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the LORD.”

Ezekiel 34:7

We need to hear the word of the LORD, we have it in our hands, on our phones, computers and IPads, so we have no excuse! We just need to read it, do it and share it! What Amos is saying here is you hear a lion and fear, but God speaks and you ignore!

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!”

1 Chronicles 16:8 and Psalm 105:1

The LORD has spoken in His word and He means and does what He says! Today let us read and share His word, all of it the good and the bad! When we share about sin and death, remember there is always the good news of hope and salvation! Have a blessed day hearing and sharing what the LORD speaks!

Share the word of the LORD!

“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, And commanded the prophets saying, Do not prophecy!” Amos 2:12

The Nazirites were to be separated to serve the LORD, and not drinking was one of the things they didn’t do! Here they are given wine to stumble them, to make them more like the average folks! People can do that with preachers and teachers today by propping them up or encouraging them to preach what they want to hear, making them drunk on self!

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;” 2 Timothy 4:3

The word of God is always true, every last word! We can’t water it down to make it more palatable, or to fit our views! Unfortunately that’s what’s happening around us today! Be careful of using the word of God to fit your personal world view, instead look to it to get the LORD’s view on the world!

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16

Today let us read the word of God, meditate on it and reflect it the best that we can!

“You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus.” 1 Peter 2:5

Let us be seeking the LORD, being living stones a royal priesthood sharing the good news of the LORD, His good news not our views! Have a blessed day!

Hold on and know that the LORD has you!

“Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him.”

Genesis 40:23

Like Joseph we can feel forgotten, he was in prison purposely forgotten by Potiphar because of Potiphar’s scandal ridden house! Maybe today your in a dead end job overlooked by the boss or a relationship that seems to be going nowhere! Realize the LORD knows right where your at, so hold on!

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were

born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Jeremiah 1:5

The Lord not only knows us, He also has ordained us to share His good news of salvation! Every situation we are in, the LORD will use for His glory! He won’t leave us and He will get us through!

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

No matter what situation you maybe in today realize the LORD has got you!

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

Today know you are called by God, you are known by God and He has a purpose for you! So hold on and know the LORD is working it all out! Have a blessed day.

He see’s all and knows all!

“But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

Genesis 39:21

Often times we can be caught up in our situation instead of being caught up in the LORD. Don’t let your situation shape who you are, but allow the LORD to use your situation to glorify Him and to build your faith!

“For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.” Deuteronomy 2:7

Like the children of Israel as we wander through this wilderness of life, realize the LORD is right there with us helping us through every situation! Remember we belong to Him and the LORD knows all and sees all!

“The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.” Psalm 34:15

The LORD is constantly listening to us and watching us, all we have to do is call!

“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good.” Proverbs 15:3

No matter what you maybe going through today good or bad, remember and know the LORD has a ear open for you and a eye upon you! Have a blessed day knowing the LORD has you!
