Be a overcomer

“Behold, I will make you small among the nations; You shall be greatly despised.” Obadiah 1:2

Today Israel is a very tiny nation, smaller than New Jersey or New Hampshire and despised by the world! False alliances are being made to give Israel a false peace, just like the LORD said! As believers we are in the same boat spiritually, small and despised by the world, remember we are born of God!

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world, And this is the victory that has overcome the world – Our faith.” 1 John 5:4

The scriptures tells us everything we need to know! The word gives us direction, correction and vision, it also helps to build our faith in the LORD! It also gives us a good idea of things to come, so we shouldn’t be surprised when the world and haters of God come against us! Realize its God and everything associated with Him they hate, including us!

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Today you may feel like your back is up against the wall, health, wealth and people who are totally against you, because of Jesus! The scriptures tell us it would be like this, Jesus told us also, but He also said be of good cheer He has overcome the world! Have a blessed day knowing the LORD has it all under control, so put your faith and hope in Him!

Follow hard after the LORD!

“Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me in the way which I have gone.” Genesis 35:3

Remember Bethel is where God met Jacob over twenty years earlier! Where He told him He was going to be with Him always and is going to get Him back home, just like He promises us!

“In His Fathers house are many mansions.”

“Since I am going and preparing a place for you, I will return to take you with me; so that where I am, you may be also.”

John 14:3 CJB

The LORD is always with us, never leaving us and has a place for us with a perfect plan to get us there! We need to just follow!

“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” Genesis 28:15

Like Jacob how many of us have wasted time wandering around foolishly, getting involved in silly worldly junk? Today maybe you feel like your wasting time, today is the day to get back on track with the LORD! Realize you are saved and the LORD bought you with His blood so that means you are of great value to Him, you and I are priceless in His eyes!

“This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24

The LORD doesn’t want us wandering around foolishly and aimlessly through life! He wants us to be focused on Him as He walks us through life! Today let’s follow hard after the LORD, having a blessed day in Him!

Don’t be in on sin, but be in the LORD!

“Now Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she borne to Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her and lay with her, and violated her.” Genesis 34:1-2

We need to be careful about being part of the pagan ungodly culture we live around today! Dinah here is trying to fit in with the ladies of the land and it goes bad!

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” John 15:19

Realize if your trying to fit in with worldly people and its not working out, its because you belong to the LORD and you need to be separated from the world. We need to work, go to school and deal with the world, but we don’t need to try and fit in! The best way to keep from sliding into worldliness is to be in the word!

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11

Today be careful of the world and its traps what God calls SIN, the world calls being in the “in group.” If you feel like you don’t belong in the world good, remember you do belong to the LORD! Have a blessed day in Him

Forgive and forget!

“But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and wept.” Genesis 33:4

We all may have a friend or relative that we’ve held a grudge with, like Jacob and Esau had. Twenty one years have passed and here we see that the grudge no longer mattered, they have reconciled and moved on!

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Matthew 6:14

Holding onto grudges not only is a waste of time, but it also puts you into sin, as you play out scenes that never will happen. Let us forgive and forget like our LORD does when we confess!

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” 1 Chronicles 16:34

The LORD shows us mercy and grace, so we should do the same! Maybe you have a relationship that has been damaged, seek the LORD on opening a door to make amends! Have a blessed day.

The LORD has you!

“And He said, Let Me go, for the day breaks. But he said, I will not let You go unless You bless me.” Genesis 32:26

No matter what is going on in life good or bad we can’t let go of the LORD! As we go through life situations arise, the easiest way to deal with them or get through them is to hold onto the LORD!

“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, Fear not, I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13

Realize the more we cling or hold onto the LORD, the more we should realize it is He who holds onto us!

“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man so to me?” Psalm 118:6

Today no matter what you maybe going through, just hold onto the LORD, and don’t let go He will get you through! Man or the world really can do absolutely nothing to you, Why, because the LORD has you in His hand! Have a blessed day!
