Call on the LORD

“Open your ears, and come to me; listen well, and you will live – I will make a everlasting covenant with you, the grace I assured David.”

Isaiah 55:3 CJB

Just like David we need to be saved from sin! Remember he was a prideful, murdering, adulterer! And the LORD still said David was a man after His own heart! 1 Samuel 13:14 and

Acts 13:22. Like David we need to call upon the LORD and be men and women seeking the heart of the LORD!

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.”

Psalm 51:10-12 NKJB

We all have blown it by the things we have said and have done, but the Lord is gracious and generous, willing and able to forgive!

“Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.”

Isaiah 55:6 NKJB

Know this the LORD is nearer to you than you thinks, and all you have to do is call on Him! We don’t have to try to make things happen (that’s usually where we blow it), but just rest and enjoy the moment your in. The LORD is taking care of things in His timing not yours! Have a blessed day!

“You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you; therefore I command you this thing today.”

Deuteronomy 15:15

One of the things we should be reminded of is that we were saved by the LORD from our slavery and bondage of sin! We’ve been redeemed by the LORD from it!

“My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, And my soul, which You have redeemed.”

Psalm 71:23

We need to remember or be reminded of it, but let us not dwell upon it! Knowing we are saved and redeemed, let us step out today and share His amazing love!

“Sing to the LORD, bless His name, Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.”

Psalm 96:2

Today if you have been redeemed by the LORD, SHARE IT with those around you! If your reading this and haven’t been redeemed, then simply call upon the LORD, call upon His name and Have a blessed day!

Listen to the LORD

“For you are holy people to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.”

Deuteronomy 14:2

About 600 times in scripture the phrase “The LORD your God” is used! With that said do we allow the LORD to be our God? Or do we try to fit God into what we want ignoring or twisting what He says to fit our own desires?

“For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand today, if you will hear His voice.”

Psalm 95:7

We need to spend time with the LORD, in His word and listening to His voice! Problem is as while we are doing devotions or at bible study we spend way to much time doing other things in our heads! Like playing golf, planning work or vacations and just not being focused on the LORD! The idea of harken is to pay attention or give attention undivided attention

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9

Today realize we are His special treasure, His people getting to proclaim His good news of salvation. So let’s pay attention to His voice, so we can proclaim His good news! Have a blessed day!

Know the word!

“You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.”

Deuteronomy 13:4

No matter how we look at things, it will always work out better for us if we just obey the LORD and walk in His ways! Anytime we follow after signs and wonders or partial biblical teaching we will always end up in disaster or lost!

“But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

2 Timothy 3:13

We live in a day we’re all kinds of signs and wonders appear in teaching that is questionable or misleading! Let us be thankful that we can check everything through the full council of God, we have his word! Today let us really look to scripture to check things out and not be wow’d by people, but make sure things are true!

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

With all the things we see going on around us today, we really need to be clinging to the word of God to filter all the junk of the world out! In reality we need to really study our bibles, knowing and doing what it says! May your day be richly blessed.

Do good!

“Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.”

Deuteronomy 12:32

The LORD wants us to do good, and doing good is doing what He commands us to do. We always need to be careful of adding or taking away from what the LORD calls us to do!

“Depart from evil and do good: seek peace and pursue it.”

Psalm 34:14

All we need to know and what we need to do is found in the word of God! So let’s get into His word and do it!

“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”

Revelation 22:14

What the word tells us to do is always good for us and for those around us!

“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to Him the plagues that are written in this book.”

Revelation 22:18

So lets be careful to really do what the LORD says, don’t make things up!

“Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.”

Proverbs 30:6

Today have a blessed day getting into His word and doing it!
