Turn of the junk and turn on the LORD!

“Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear.”

Deuteronomy 21:21

Not saying let’s stone anyone! But we really need to remove evil from our lives! Don’t let it enter your house, keep it off your T.V. 📺, laptop 💻 or any other electronic devices you may have! Remove whatever distracts you from the LORD and leads you astray.

“I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.”

Psalm 101:3

We have enough evil and wicked things going on around us! We really don’t need to be adding to it by bringing it into our lives and homes! Let’s start shutting down the things that get in our way of spending time with the LORD!

Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

1 Chronicles 16:11

Turn off the junk and turn on the LORD! Have a blessed day!

Live for the LORD

“Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with Him.”

John 11:16

This is a heart we should have let us go anywhere and everywhere the LORD calls us to go even if we die! Because our last breath here is our first breath in the presence of the LORD!

“Jesus wept.”

John 11:35

Why did Jesus weep? Many people have many thoughts on this. I think the simplest way to look at this is Lazarus was in heaven and the LORD was going to bring him back to this corrupt world! Are we comfortable in the world or are we looking forward to being with the LORD in His Kingdom?

“Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

John 11:40

When we believe we will see the glory of God we will be filled with His joy, when we look to the world we will weep! Today let us really become more heavenly minded, more kingdom focused and less worldly comfortable! Have a blessed day looking to and for the LORD!

Pray for society

“So you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you when you do what is right in the sight of the LORD.”

Deuteronomy 21:9 NKJV

We need to realize just because we don’t personally commit the crime, we do take some responsibility for the moral decline around us! We need to pray!

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

2 Chronicles 7:14

We are called to pray not judge, condemn or ridicule; But pray!

We need to be more concerned with the LORD and what He is doing than the world and what it is doing!

“I, yes I, am the one who comforts you! Why are you afraid of a man, who must die; of a human being, who will wither like grass?”

Isaiah 51:12

Today realize we can make a difference when we take praying for our community, state, country and the world as a personal responsibility! Have a blessed day lifting up situations around us to the LORD! Shabbat Shalom.

Remove the wicked things

“But of the cities of these people which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance, you shall let nothing that breathes remain alive, but you shall utterly destroy them:”

Deuteronomy 20:16-17

The LORD isn’t being mean, He just knows if the Israelites leave anyone alive they will teach them abominable practices.

The same goes for us today, when we leave things unchecked it can bite us! What distracts you? We need to destroy the things that lead us into abominable practices!

“Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil.”

Proverbs 4:27

In other words if certain web sites, news feeds, or activities cause you to sin remove them. We need to get rid of the things that cause us to sin! If you know its wrong make it be gone!

“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Keeping watch on the evil and the good.”

Proverbs 15:3

We all know right from wrong, the LORD instills that in our hearts! When we don’t remove the things that are questionable we start to justify! Today let’s search our hearts and remove the wicked things that maybe in it!

“And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”

Psalm 139:24

Have a blessed day seeking the LORD and removing the things that need to be removed!

The LORD is our refuge!

“The killer who will live if he flees there is someone who has killed his fellow member of the community by mistake, who did not hate him in the past.”

Deuteronomy 19:4 CJB

The LORD tells Moses to set up cities of refuge, for people who have accidentally killed someone! Accidents happen, we all do and say things that we don’t really mean to but do! And often times the person we say or do something to comes after us with a vengeance! We all need a city of refuge to remove ourselves from the situation.

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”

Psalm 46:1 NKJV

The LORD is that refuge, the biggest mistake we can make when we say or do something stupid, is to continue to say and do stupid things! Stop! Seek the LORD and call upon Him, He is the answer, He is our refuge in every situation!

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.”

Psalm 103:2-4 NKJV

Today don’t act or react, just take refuge in the LORD! Have a blessed day.
