Shine for the LORD.

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.”

Isaiah 60:1 NKJB

There are so many dark things being talked about today: politics, storms, and eroding society, to name a few things. Instead, let us talk about the LORD and His glorious light!

“Nations will go toward your light and kings toward your shining splendor.”

Isaiah 60:3 CJB

We are called to reflect the light of the LORD, not spread the gloom of the world. Light always attracts people.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16 NKJB

Let us seek the LORD, listen to His voice and do the good things He instructs us to do. Let’s reflect His glorious light!

“Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.”

Psalm 96:3 NKJB

Today, shine for the LORD, and have a blessed day doing it.

Desire the LORD.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”

Deuteronomy 28:1

We need to desire the LORD more than the world. Unfortunately, the routines of life keep us well distracted from spending time with the LORD!

“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 28:2

The best thing we can do throughout the day is interject the LORD into it, wherever and whenever we can! Repeating a verse, singing a Psalm or just simply calling out to Him in conversation!

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Jesus for you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The best way to be blessed by the LORD is by including Him in everything!

We belong to Him.e

“Then Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying, Take heed and listen, O Israel: This day you have become the people of the LORD your God.”

Deuteronomy 27:9

What a sobering thought, we are His people and we belong to Him.

“For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice.”

Psalm 95:7

When we realize we are His people and we belong to Him, we need to listen for His voice and do what He says!

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

James 1:22

Today, let us listen to what the LORD says and then do what the LORD says! Rejoice for this day was perfectly made for us by the LORD! May your day be richly blessed.

Walk in His way not get in His way

“Today you have proclaimed the LORD to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice.”

Deuteronomy 26:17

We can’t say we believe in the LORD, are born again and then do our own thing. We need to call on the LORD and walk in His ways not get in His way!

“Also today the LORD has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments.”

Deuteronomy 26:18

One of the things that happens in the believing world is we do what we think is right in our own eyes, instead of looking to the LORD!

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise.”

Proverbs 12:15

The best counsel we have is in our hands, it’s the Bible, the living, breathing word of God, Which will never fail you or let you down! Today, let us walk in His ways and not get in His way. Have a blessed day.

Be kind!

“I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.”

John 12:46

We all need to be abiding in the LORD, not the world. When we hang in the world we take on it’s negativity, hostility and darkness! We find ourselves making unnecessary comments, saying and doing mean things, walking in darkness.

“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice truth.”

1 John 1:5-6

Today let us check ourselves before we say and do anything! Does what we say, message or think glorify God? Are our words and thoughts just snarky and negative?

“Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.”

Romans 14:19

As we go through our day let us walk in the light of the LORD, encouraging, edifying and comforting others, not tearing down, correcting or acting like we are somehow better than those around us! Ask yourself is it necessary to say, is it helpful, does it encourage and does it glorify the LORD? Have a blessed day!
