Shine for the LORD

“Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes! I, even I, will sing to the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.”

Judges 5:3

Here we see Israel was being harassed, just like Israel was being harassed by Egypt, It seems to be a theme with Israel! The same goes for us. We may feel we are being harassed by life’s issues; bills, broken stuff that needs to be repaired, jobs and relationships, really just life’s issues! What shall we do? Sing praises to the LORD!

“I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.”

Psalm 108:3

When things look bad or even if they are going well, nothing can be better than just praising the LORD! What we should know is we can count on the LORD, He will show up at the right second every time.

“Thus let all Your enemies perish, O LORD! But let those who love Him be like the sun When it comes out in full strength. So the land had rest for forty years.”

Judges 5:31

Today, if you want to have peace and need rest, Just praise the LORD. Why? Because, He will show up right on time every time! So let’s shine today, and sing praises to the LORD.

Shabbat Shalom!

Lean on the LORD

“So he called the name of the place Massah and Mariah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us or not?”

Exodus 17:7

How often do we, get into that place were we too, can ask, “IS THE LORD AMONG US OR NOT?” I’m not talking about bills, jobs or health issues that we all face in life. As we walk with the LORD, ministering and sharing His good news, we may come to a place and ask how did I get here? Where are you LORD? Why can’t I hear You? I believe we’ve all asked these kind of questions. Life can do this to us! I’m thirsty in a dry land!

“Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, LORD, I believe help my unbelief!”

Mark 9:24

Like this father who believed in the LORD, but life happened. His child was sick and he was at his end! This is true for us also. Health runs out, job or ministry hit a dead end or the money ran out before the month is over! Then we can start to question where is the LORD? We need to remember the LORD got us through before. He’ll get us through again!

“Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Psalm 61:1-2

Life is a wilderness, full of all kinds of distressing situations and we can get overwhelmed! Just hold on to the LORD, don’t hold on to distressing situations. Cry out to the LORD and just remain focused on Him. The LORD is among you and He will act right at the right second, not before or after, but right on time! Today, just rest in Him and don’t wrestle with life’s situations. Have a blessed day leaning on the LORD (our Rock)!

Look for the LORD

“And in the morning you shall see the glory of the LORD; for He hears your complaints against the LORD. But what are we, that you complain against us?”

Exodus 16:7

Like the children of Israel, if we just look for the glory of the LORD, we can see it! If we get up and look to man, we will end up complaining. What is the point of complaining to man or complaining about Him? Nothing, it will usually get you nowhere.

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.”

Psalm 5:3

What a great way to start our day, looking to the LORD and calling out to Him. Let Him know your complaints, concerns and needs. Why? Because He has all the answers!

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles (unbelievers) seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Matthew 6:31-34

Today, look to the LORD, not to the world! The LORD is peace and glory, the world is complaining and misery! The choice really is pretty easy to make! His glory or man’s complaining?

Have a blessed day looking for the glory of the LORD!
