Look to the LORD

“Do not turn to idols, and do not cast metal gods for yourselves; I am Adonai your God.”

Leviticus 19:4 CJB

We all need to take heed and be careful of doing this. We all can carry enough idols (small gods) in the palm of our hands. We also find ourselves turning to them way too often; be careful! Ask yourself, what is the first thing you look at when you wake up?

“Adonai, In the morning You will hear my voice; In the morning I lay my needs before you and wait expectantly.”

Psalm 5:3 CJB

It can be a hard habit to get into, but we need to make it a priority to call on the LORD when we wake up, praising Him and listening for Him! Also, do the same before we go to bed!

“But as for me, I will look to Adonai, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.”

Micah 7:7

We need the LORD to be part of every moment of our lives and the world around us needs Him also! We can’t allow the same idols to creep in and permeate our lives! We need to be set apart and holy, not ordinary, just fitting in. Have a blessed day looking to the LORD!

Just believe

“But they didn’t understand what He meant.”

Luke 2:50 CJB

This is so true. We often don’t understand what the LORD is doing, why he allows things to happen the way they happen! We need to just trust!

“Trust in Adonai with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him; then He will level your paths.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 CJB

Often times, if we just trust and not question things, life will go a lot easier. Our problem often is we think we have to know instead of just believing!

“Look at the proud: he is inwardly not upright; but the righteous will attain life through trusting faithfulness.”

Habakkuk 2:4 CJB

Today, realize, we don’t have to understand, we just need to trust! We don’t need to know why, we just need to believe! The LORD knows what He is doing, so just follow hard after Him. He will let you know what you need to know when you need to know it, no matter what situation you may be in! Have a blessed day following hard after the LORD!

The LORD is always in control

“And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.”

Luke 2:1

The world around us will always make demands and decrees, but with the LORD it will always come to pass! So don’t stress about whatever situation you may be in. It will come to pass.

“The LORD knows the thoughts of man, That they are futile.”

Psalm 94:11

Understand, no matter what the world or man demands or decrees, God still is in control! The LORD doesn’t allow anything to happen unless it’s part of His plan!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9

So today things may be difficult. Too many taxes, rents too high and health is bad. Realize God knows and it’s all going to work out according to God’s plan! So have a blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom.

Don’t fit into worldliness

“Those close by and those far off will taunt you, you who have such a defiled reputation and such disorder.”

Ezekiel 22:5 CJB

This verse should be troubling to us! Why? As believers, we can be taunted and made fun of for being believers, but when we, as believers, participate in worldly things and then are taunted, it’s our own doing! Be careful of falling into worldly practices!

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is eminty with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”

James 4:4 NKJB

We really need to be separated from worldly things. We need to be holy (special), not ordinary like the world! Don’t fit in!

“But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him.”

Psalm 4:3 NKJB

Today, don’t get caught up in the world and its foolishness, but instead, get caught up in the LORD and His godliness! Have a blessed day being caught up in the LORD!
