Walk in His ways

“When you have entered the land Adonai your God is giving you, have taken possession of it and are living there, you may say, I want to have a king over me, like all the other nations around me.”
Deuteronomy 17:14 CJB

Even though Moses anticipated that Israel would demand a king to rule over them, he gave instructions on how and what to do if that happened! The thing is God never wanted Israel to be like the world, but God will let us have our way, because He doesn’t force His perfect ways upon us! Life is always better following Adonai and His ways!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Life is always better when we do life the way God desires us to and not follow the world around us, which always leads to disaster!

“Your Words are a doorway that lets in light, giving understanding to the thoughtless.”
Psalm 119:130 CJB

God is light and He will always illuminate our path when we use the light of His word!
Have a blessed day following Adonai, not the foolishness of the world!
Shabbat Shalom!

Look for opportunities

“You are to keep the festival of Sukkot for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing-floor and winepress.”
Deuteronomy 16:13 CJB

The feasts of Adonai are for us to rejoice and celebrate Him! We really should take advantage of all His appointed times!

“This is the day Adonai has made, a day for us to rejoice and be glad.”
Psalm 118:24 CJB

Are we looking for every opportunity to worship and glorify Adonai?

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

So let’s look for opportunities and times to glorify Adonai! Today is the day!
May your day be amazingly blessed!

Give God our best

“But if it has a defect, is lame or blind, or has some other kind of fault, you are not to sacrifice it to Adonai your God.”
Deuteronomy 15:21 CJB

In other words we are not to give God our left overs, unwanted stuff or second best!

“Well, whatever you do, whether it’s eating or drinking or anything else, do it all so as to bring glory to God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 CJB

In everything we do we really need to give God our best, not our left overs or half hearted attempts to serve Him!

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

So in everything we say or do, let’s give God all the glory and give Him our best!
May your day be richly blessed!

Do good!

“At the end of every three years you are to take all the tenths of your produce from that year and store it in your towns.”
Deuteronomy 14:28 CJB

God has blessed all of us with something and we should always be willing to give something!

“He who is kind to the poor is lending to Adonai; and He will repay him for his good deed.”
Proverbs 19:17 CJB

We should always look for opportunities to be kind to the less fortunate and no matter who you are, there is always someone less fortunate than you!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in Heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

Anytime we do good and kind things it should be to glorify our Father in Heaven!
Have a blessed day giving to others!

Always do good

“Then all Israel will hear about it and be afraid, so that they will stop doing such wickedness as this among themselves.”
Deuteronomy 13:12 CJB

When we hear about good things or bad things it usually changes hearts and thinking! Here we see that the wicked were destroyed in this godless city and it caused Israel to stop doing wickedness also! So do good things so that is what people hear about!

“I will break down the strength of the wicked, but the strength of the righteous will be raised up.”
Psalm 75:10 CJB

Do we complain about wickedness or do we do something about it? Do we complain about wicked half time shows, awards shows or news casts? Or do we destroy it by turning it off and stop supporting it all together? A really good question to ask ourselves!

“I will not allow before my eyes any shameful thing. I hate those who act crookedly; what they do does not attract me.”
Psalm 101:3 CJB

Instead of complaining about evil, simply just turn it off and do or see something godly! People will hear about and maybe do the same!
Have a blessed day doing things of Adonai!
