Let your light shine!

“By offering polluted food on My altar! Now you ask, How are we polluting You? By saying that the table of Adonai doesn’t deserve respect; so there’s nothing wrong with offering blind animals as a sacrifice, nothing wrong with offering an animal that’s lame or sick. Try offering such an animal to your governor, and see if he will be pleased with you! Would he even receive you? asks Adonai-Tzav’ot (Lord Almighty).”
Malachi 1:7-8 CJB

This is a good question for us also! Do we give God our leftovers, lame and sick offerings? Remember, He gave everything for us!

“I exhort you, therefore, brothers, in view of God’s mercies, to offer yourselves as a sacrifice, living and set apart for God. This will please Him; it is logical Temple worship for you.”
Romans 12:1 CJB

The question is do we give God our best? The LORD desires us to be on fire for Him and living a life that glorifies Him! Don’t worry about what you have or don’t have, the LORD desires us to be living for Him!

“Give thanks to Adonai! Call on His name! Make His deeds known among the peoples.”
1 Chronicles 16:8 CJB

Today, remember the LORD has given us so much, so let His light shine brightly in you today!
Have a blessed day shining for the LORD!
Chag Urim Sameach! Happy Hanukkah

The LORD reigns

“Then Adonai will be king over the whole world. On that day Adonai will be the one, and His name will be the only name.”
Zechariah 14:9 CJB

What a glorious day this will be where we will be one people, one language and the LORD will be the only leader!

“For then I will change the peoples, so that they will have pure lips, to call on the name of Adonai, all of them, and serve Him with one accord.”
Zephaniah 3:9 CJB

As we look around us at all the unease and division, we need to be encouraged that when the day of the LORD comes we all will be united!

“Look to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God; there is no other. In the name of Myself I have sworn, from My mouth has rightly gone out, a word that will not return-that to Me every knee will bow and every tongue will swear.”
Isaiah 45:22-23 CJB also Romans 14:11

In that day all things will be made right under the LORD. We will have real everlasting peace! Until then, let’s be encouraged in the LORD and share His Good News of Salvation!
Have a blessed day!

Living water

“When that day comes, a spring will be opened up for the house of David and the people living in Yerushalayim to cleanse them from sin and impurity.”
Zechariah 13:1 CJB

What a great day to be looking forward to when the LORD will cleanse the world from impurity! Today is not that day, but remember the LORD cleanses us from all our sins when we simply call on His name and repent! How awesome is it that no matter what is going on we get to walk in His living waters!

“How blessed are those who reject the advice of the wicked, don’t stand on the way of sinners or sit where scoffers sit! Their delight is in Adonai’s Torah (instruction); on His Torah they meditate day and night. They are like trees planted by streams-they bear fruit in season, their leaves never wither, everything they do succeeds.”
Psalm 1:1-3 CJB

Even though we aren’t at this day of the LORD yet, we can still plant ourselves in His living water, His Word!

“Whoever puts his trust in Me, as the Scriptures says, rivers of living water will flow from His inmost being!”
John 7:38 CJB

Today, with all the craziness going on in the world, we really need to be planting ourselves in the streams of the living water of the LORD’S word!
Have a blessed day wading the the streams of His living water, the Word!

Nothing is to heavy for God

“When that day comes, I will make Yerushalayim a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who try to lift it will hurt themselves, and all the earth’s nations will be massed against her.”
Zechariah 12:3 CJB

Through the ages the world has had its eyes on this city! Babylonians, Assyrians, Greeks, Romans, Ottomans and the British, to name a few, and it was all a heavy stone that none of them could lift! Even today we see the world is a massing up against her, but don’t worry the LORD has it covered!

“On the day of my trouble I am calling on You, for You will answer me.”
Psalm 86:7 CJB

The same goes for us when we feel our burdens are toO heavy and we hurt ourselves trying to lift them. Realize, we can’t, but the LORD can!

“For He will conceal me in His shelter on the day of trouble, He will hide Me in the folds of His tent, He will set me high on a rock.”
Psalm 27:5 CJB

Today, just like the LORD promised that Yerushalayim would be a burden and weight that no one could bare or lift, but not for the LORD! So to our burdens may be too heavy to lift, but not for the LORD!
Have a blessed day knowing no matter how heavy or hard it may seem, it’s nothing but a feather to the LORD!

Seek the LORD

“Woe to the worthless shepherd who abandons the sheep! May a sword strike his arm and his right eye. May his arm be completely withered and his right arm blinded.”
Zechariah 11:17 CJB

This worthless shepherd is no benefit to the flock! He takes from the body of believers and never gives, he makes ministry about himself and his issues, but never deals with the issues of the body! In other words, he is nothing more than a deceiver and a self-serving man! The sad thing is the body is full of these wolves in sheep’s clothing!

“Beware of false prophets! They come to you wearing sheep’s clothing, but underneath they are hungry wolves!”
Matthew 7:15 CJB

We all need to be aware that not every person who claims to be a believer is, in fact many unfortunately are deceivers! How do we know the shepherds from the deceivers? Simple, by being in His word, studying it and knowing it!

“How can a young man (any one) keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word. I seek You with all my heart; don’t let me stray from Your mitzvot (commandments).”
Psalm 119:9-10 CJB

Today, we to really need to be on guard about who we listen to sharing the word of God! Understand not all bible teachers have right intentions! It is our responsibility to study and know the word of God, so we can identify and avoid false teachers!
Have a blessed day seeking the LORD!
