Here we see Israel whining and complaining, because they did their own thing and it ended in disaster! Then, like always, when disaster hits they call on God to bail them out! We are no different! God knows what is best for us, so why don’t we just listen?

“You are to follow Adonai your God, fear Him, obey His mitzvot, listen to what He says, serve Him and cling to Him.”
Deuteronomy 13:5 CJB

The best thing we can do is cling to Adonai, doing life His way! Understand every time we do our own thing, or even worse try to interpret Scripture to fit our own ways, we will always fall into disaster!

“All Adonai’s paths are grace and truth to those who keep His covenant and instructions.”
Psalm 25:10 CJB

We will never be led astray if we just cling to Adonai and do life His way!

Are we giving and seeking God wholeheartedly? Are we serving Adonai?

“When you seek Me, you will find Me, provided you seek for Me wholeheartedly.”
Jeremiah 29:13 CJB

What does it mean to seek and serve God wholeheartedly? It means to seek and serve Him in everything!

“Serve Adonai with gladness. Enter His presence with joyful songs.”
Psalm 100:2 CJB

Where do we serve and praise Adonai? Right where you are!

Just like Israel, when we fall into sin, it oppresses us and puts us into slavery! The good news is when we call out to Adonai, He hears, replies and saves!

“I cry aloud to God, aloud to God; and He hears me.”
Psalm 77:1 CJB

How comforting it is to know that when we blow it, all we have to do is repent and He forgives and heals us!

“Adonai is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in grace.”
Psalm 103:8 CJB

We all are pretty quick to get angry, but God isn’t! We are slow to forgive, God is always quick to forgive!

“He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

When we repent He forgives and forgets!

God will always allow tests, the way to pass them is by keeping His Word and walking in His ways!

We never go wrong when we keep the Word of God and do life His way! He has given us commands not to enslave us, but to free us because He loves us!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome, because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust.”
1 John 5:3-4 CJB

Keeping the commands of God are not a burden! We are saved by His love, so the best way to return that love is by walking in His ways!
