Do what you say!

“When he saw her, he tore his clothes and said, Oh, no, my daughter! You’re breaking my heart! Why must you be the cause of such pain to me? I made a vow to Adonai, and I can’t go back on my word.”
Judges 11:35 CJB

What a great warning here. We need to all be careful of making vows! When we make vows and promises, we need to make sure we can actually keep them!

“If you make a vow to God, don’t delay in discharging it. For God takes no pleasure in fools, so discharge your vow! Better not to make a vow than to make a vow and not discharge it.”
Ecclesiastes 5:3-4 CJB Verse 2 in other translations

Again, don’t make vows you can’t keep or don’t intend to keep, because when you do they will always come back to bite you!

“Just let your ‘Yes’ be a simple ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ a simple ‘No’; anything more than this has its origin in evil.”
Matthew 5:37 CJB

Today, let’s make sure what we say is what we can do! Make our ‘Yes’ a ‘Yes’ and our ‘No’ a ‘No’!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!

God saves

“Go and cry to the gods you chose; let them rescue you when you’re in trouble!”
Judges 10:14 CJB

Here is the problem when we serve other gods, when we fall into trouble, which we will, they can’t rescue us! Politicians, finances and celebrities only take, they never give!

“The people of Israel said to Adonai, We have sinned! Treat us in whatever seems good to you, but save us today, please!”
Judges 10:15 CJB

Unfortunately, this sounds like an all to familiar prayer after we play in the world and get burned, we call Adonai to save us! Which, fortunately, He does! Stay away from all the false gods of this world and stick with the only true God and serve Him only! Remember, He will never let you down!

“Please, Adonai! Save us! Please, Adonai! Rescue us!”
Psalm 118:25 CJB

Realize that we are so blessed that we serve a God who saves. He gave us Yeshua (which means God saves)! Today, let’s rely upon Adonai not the world!
Have a blessed day standing in the freedom we find in Yeshua!

Seek Adonai

“Here’s the point. Have you been honest and straightforward in making Avimelek king? Have you been fair with Yerub`al (Jerubbaal) and his household and treated him as he deserves?”
Judges 9:16 CJB

The answer to both these questions is no! They shouldn’t have made Avimelek king because God gave then judges to rule and they treated Jerrubbaal terrible which God dislikes! We, as believers, need to treat people with respect, seeking God on all our decisions and accept the rulers God places over us no matter how hard it may be!

“When you seek Me, you will find Me, provided you seek for Me wholeheartedly.”
Jeremiah 29:13 CJB

This is what we need to be doing is seeking Adonai wholeheartedly in everything not to get our way but to see His way!

“God, your way is in holiness. What god is as great as God?”
Psalm 77:13 CJB

The answer is there is no god or leader greater than our God! Today, before we do anything we should seek God!
Have a blessed day walking with Yeshua!

Do life Gods way

“Adonai said to Moshe and Aharon, This is the regulation from Torah which Adonai has commanded. Tell the people of Israel to bring you a young red female cow without fault or defect and which has never borne a yoke.”
Numbers 19:1-2 CJB

What we need to see here is we are to do everything that Adonai tells us to do, no matter how weird or difficult it may be! Also, when we do what Adonai tells us, we are not to give Him our leftovers, but our best!

“Give Adonai the glory due to His name; bring an offering, and enter His courtyards.”
Psalm 96:8 CJB

Even when Adonai asks us to give, it is always out of what He has already given us! When we follow and do His ordinances, He always supplies what we need!

“Adonai is God, and He gives us light. Join in the pilgrim festival with branches all the way to the horns of the altar.”
Psalm 118:27 CJB

Today, as we go through the day, know that as we follow Adonai, He will supply all our needs as we go!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Worship God alone

“But as soon as Gideon was dead, the people of Israel again went astray after the baalim and made Ba`al-B’rit their god.”
Judges 8:33 CJB

This happens with too many believers. Soon after God delivers them or gets them out of a tight situation, they forget God and go back to worshipping foolishness!

“The ease with which Israel prostituted herself defiled the land, as she committed adultery with stones and with logs.”
Jeremiah 3:9 CJB

Unfortunately many countries, including America, are doing no better than Israel here, in fact, maybe even worse! As believers we need to be putting God first in everything!

“I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the abode of slavery. You are to have no other gods before Me.”
Exodus 20:2-3 CJB

Today, realize how blessed we are that the Creator of the universe took us out of Egypt (the world) and saved us! With that said, we should rejoice, praise and worship Him and Him alone!
Have a blessed day praising Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!
