Get directions from God

“The army of Israel began by going up to Beit-El, where they asked God, Who should go up first to attack the army of Binyamin? Adonai said, Y’hudah first.”
Judges 20:18 CJB

The problem I see here is Israel didn’t ask God if they should go up against the tribe of Benjamin, but instead asked who should go first! We always should ask God before we do things and wait for His reply!

“I cry aloud to God, aloud to God; and He hears me.”
Psalm 77:1 CJB

Our prayers and calls to Adonai should always be should we go, should we do or should we speak! Israel had already made the decision to go without getting an ok from God!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Today, we all need to spend time asking God for direction before we decide to just go or do!
Have a blessed day calling to Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

God is always good

“On arrival at his house, he got a knife, took hold of his concubine’s body, cut her up into twelve pieces, and sent them to all the regions of Israel.”
Judges 19:29 CJB

This has to be one of the most horrible passages in the Bible, in my opinion! What it does show us is when we allow the world to dictate how we live. We end up doing extremely detestable things!

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who change darkness into light and light into darkness, who change bitter into sweet and sweet into bitter!”
Isaiah 5:20 CJB

As extreme as the passage in Judges 19 is, unfortunately we see just as much evil happening around us today! What is the answer? Yeshua!

“Yeshua said, I AM the WAY-and the Truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6 CJB

Today, realize that the only really good thing in the world is Yeshua! We all need to cling to Him in every situation!
Have a blessed day looking to Adonai!

Trust in Yeshua

“The Cohen replied, Don’t worry. Adonai is with you on this journey.”
Judges 18:6 CJB

Even though this priest was just paying lip service, the one thing true here is God is always with us wherever we go!

“You are not to be frightened of them, because Adonai your God is there with you, a God great and fearsome.”
Deuteronomy 7:21 CJB

Life is full of battles: health, wealth and just direction on where to go and what to do! Realize, God is right there with you every step of the way!

“Haven’t I ordered you, Be strong, be bold? So don’t be afraid or downhearted, because Adonai your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 CJB

Today, life can seem uncertain, but Adonai is right there with you every step of the way! So put all your hope and trust in Him!
Have a blessed day trusting in Yeshua!

Seek God

“Mikhah said, Now I know that Adonai will treat me well, because I have a Levi for a Cohen.”
Judges 17:13 CJB

What a silly thought here. Just because Micah had his own personal priest, he thought God would just bless him! Many people think the same way today because they belong to a church or have their own spiritual leader that somehow they will be blessed! What we need is a personal and intimate relationship with God!

“There can be a way which seems right to a person, but at its end are the ways of death.”
Proverbs 14:12 CJB

We can fall into the trap of thinking we are saved because we belong to a religious organization or because we belong to that organization we don’t need to be responsible for our walks with Adonai! How wrong is that thinking!

“Seek Adonai while He is available, call on Him while He is still nearby.”
Isaiah 55:6 CJB

Today, don’t be fooled into thinking belonging to a building somehow saves you! What we all need is a personal deep relationship with Adonai!
Have a blessed day seeking Adonai!

Seek God

“She said, Shimshon! The P’lishtim have come for you! He awoke from his sleep and said, I’ll get out this time, just as I shook myself loose before. But he didn’t know that Adonai had left him.”
Judges 16:20 CJB

This is how it works when you start to play in the world and hang out with worldly people. You slowly start to be part of the world! Then without even noticing you’ve actually walked away from Adonai!

“Foreigners have eaten up his strength, but he doesn’t know it; yes, gray hairs appear on him here and there, but he doesn’t know it.”
Hosea 7:9 CJB

The more we play in the world, the more likely it is to not even notice that we are falling into ungodliness! What’s the answer? Yeshua, being in His word and having fellowship with other believers!

“I treasure Your word in my heart, so that I won’t sin against you.”
Psalm 119:11 CJB

Today, the best thing we can do to combat the world is to spend as much time as we can with God!
Have a blessed day seeking God!
