Live for Adonai

“The people of Israel secretly did things that were not right, according to Adonai their God. They built high places for themselves wherever they lived, from the watchtower to the fortified city.”
2 Kings 17:9 CJB

I find this funny in a way that the people of Israel thought they could do something secretly and hide from Adonai! God knows all and sees all!

“The eyes of Adonai are everywhere, watching the evil and the good.”
Proverbs 15:3 CJB

Understand God sees everything and knows exactly what is going to happen next! We need to be on the side of Adonai in everything! Understand God doesn’t choose sides. It’s either you are on His side or you are not! There is no doing things in secret!

“Adonai is in His holy temple. Adonai, His throne is in heaven. His eyes see and test humankind.”
Psalm 11:4 CJB

Today, let’s make sure the things we say and do are of Adonai and for Him!
Have a blessed day seeking His ways!

Don’t support evil!

“Rather, he lived in the manner of the kings of Israel; he even made his son pass through fire [as a sacrifice], in keeping with the abominable practices of the pagans, whom Adonai had thrown out ahead of the people of Israel.”
2 Kings 16:3 CJB

At this time the kings of Israel were as evil and abominable as they come, they acted just like the pagan world around them! We need to be careful of becoming like the pagan world we live in!

“I will not allow before my eyes any shameful thing. I hate those who act crookedly; what they do does not attract me.”
Psalm 101:3 CJB

This is something we all need to practice, not allowing anything in that is ungodly and evil! We need to practice righteousness and be very careful of what and who we support!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

Today, the best thing we can do is reflect the good things our God does and don’t reflect the ugly things of the world! We need to stand for God!
Have a blessed day!

God never sleeps

“Haven’t you known, haven’t you heard that the everlasting God, Adonai, the creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow tired or weary? His understanding cannot be fathomed.”
Isaiah 40:28 CJB

This should be comforting to us, that Adonai never stops, He doesn’t sleep or get tired, He just keeps going! He also knows and understands everything!

“He invigorates the exhausted, He gives strength to the powerless.”
Isaiah 40:29 CJB

How encouraging this should be as we go forth in our day. Adonai strengthens us. All we have to do is look to Him!

“So let us not grow weary of doing what is good; for if we don’t give up, we will in due time reap the harvest.”
Galatians 6:9 CJB

Today, let’s go forward and do great things for Adonai!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be a good example

“He did what was right from Adonai’s perspective, following the example of everything his father `Uziyah had done.”
2 Kings 15:34 CJB

If you look at all the kings here we can see most of them were evil, but the ones who did good usually followed after their father’s good example! The question is do we leave and give good examples for others to follow?

“Don’t follow the path of the wicked or walk on the way of evildoers.”
Proverbs 4:14 CJB

When we follow evil we do evil, when we follow good we do good!

“How happy is everyone who fears Adonai, who lives by His ways.”
Psalm 128:1 CJB

Today, let’s be an example by walking in the ways of Adonai!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Rely on God

“For Adonai saw how bitterly Israel had suffered, with no one left, either slave or free, and no one coming to Israel’s aid.”
2 Kings 14:26 CJB

God sees all our good times and our suffering and He is always near in every situation!

“O God, my vindicator! Answer me when I call! When I was distressed, You set me free; now have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.”
Psalm 4:1 CJB

Life can and does have battles, it is full of all kinds of ups and downs! Just remember God is always there!

“I cry aloud to God, aloud to God; and He hears me.”
Psalm 77:1 CJB

Today, we can have peace and comfort in the fact that God hears us when we call and we can rest in His peace!
Have a blessed day relying on Adonai!
