Just like Israel, when we fall into sin, it oppresses us and puts us into slavery! The good news is when we call out to Adonai, He hears, replies and saves!

“I cry aloud to God, aloud to God; and He hears me.”
Psalm 77:1 CJB

How comforting it is to know that when we blow it, all we have to do is repent and He forgives and heals us!

“Adonai is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in grace.”
Psalm 103:8 CJB

We all are pretty quick to get angry, but God isn’t! We are slow to forgive, God is always quick to forgive!

“He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

When we repent He forgives and forgets!

God will always allow tests, the way to pass them is by keeping His Word and walking in His ways!

“I treasure Your Word in my heart, so that I won’t sin against You.”
Psalm 119:11 CJB

We never go wrong when we keep the Word of God and do life His way! He has given us commands not to enslave us, but to free us because He loves us!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome, because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust.”
1 John 5:3-4 CJB

Keeping the commands of God are not a burden! We are saved by His love, so the best way to return that love is by walking in His ways!

It never takes long to fall into sin or pride when we do our own thing! How does this happen? When we let evil in!

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who change darkness into light and light into darkness, who change bitter into sweet and sweet into bitter!”
Isaiah 5:20 CJB

Serving Baals (worldly gods) starts happening when we let sin creep into our lives! Just a little bit of sin turns into a cancerous tumor if we let it in!

‘Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

We all need to be careful of thinking we know better than God and allow foolishness into our lives!
