David could have said, here are the Philistines again and God said, previously go get them you’ll have victory! But David chooses wisely to consult God instead! God gave different instructions, which David followed!

“Commit your way to Adonai; trust in Him, and He will act.”
Psalm 37:5 CJB

Do we commit all our ways to Adonai? Or do we try to do things on our own? Often times the way God instructs us to do things is very different than our way of thinking, but His way will always be better!

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Our ways are always going to be filled with disasters and troubles, but doing things God’s way is always going to be the best!

The answer to this question is: we must ask God for His guidance before we make any kind of move! The problem is we try to do things our own way and when it fails we get upset or frightened!

“With my voice I call out to Adonai, and He answers me from His holy hill.”
Psalm 3:4 CJB

The good news is when we call on Adonai, He always answers. We just need to wait and listen of His answer! Don’t get impatient when He doesn’t answer in our time line!

“Adonai is alive! Blessed is my Rock! Exalted be the God of my salvation.”
Psalm 18:47 CJB verse 46 in other translations.

We need to remember we serve a living God who hears us and answers us. We just need to be patient, waiting to hear His voice!

Like David, we all need help. We all need assistance! Our best assistance is always going to be Adonai and those who love Him!

“My help comes from Adonai, the maker of Heaven and Earth.”
Psalm 121:2 CJB

Yes, all our help comes from Adonai, but He also puts people into our lives to assist us also! So don’t reject help, it may be from Adonai!

“They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you, says Adonai, to rescue you.”
Jeremiah 1:19 CJB

So no matter how bad things may look, remember God is with us and He always sends help to assist us! So be patient!

We always should get behind the men and women who God puts in place to rule and lead, not because they are great, but because God is great!

“See, the sky, the heaven beyond the sky, the earth and everything on it all belong to Adonai your God.”
Deuteronomy 10:14 CJB

What a great comfort to know that everything we can see belongs to Adonai who created everything! So we can stand firm on Adonai and not worry about the messes happening around us! So we should have no fear at getting behind the men and women God has placed in the world to lead! Why? Because we should be following Adonai in all things!

“Stay alert, stand firm in faith, behave like a mentsh (like a man standing firm, courageous and afraid of nothing), grow strong. Let everything you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 CJB

So stand up and be courageous for Adonai, knowing He has it all in the palm of His hands!
