“And they said, Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.” Genesis 11:4

This is the problem with man, we are always trying to compete with God. The idea is we can do anything God can do, that’s what Satan does and it makes nothing but a mess!

“So the LORD scattered them abroad from over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.” Genesis 11:8

When we are arrogant and think we can out do the LORD, watch out, He is in total control and will deal with us! Remember we are His we belong to the living God and don’t need to compete with Him! We are on His team!

“But you are a chosen generation, a royals priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” 1 Peter 2:9

We don’t have to build towers today we just have to walk in the light of the LORD! Knowing the LORD is the perfect builder and has made us for His glory! So let us just walk in His ways and in His light! Have a blessed day. Shabbat Shalom!

He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; Therefore it is said, Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.”

Genesis 10:9

Everyone can be a hunter before the LORD, it depends on what your hunting! Are we hunting to see men saved or are we hunting to be worshipped? Are we hunting for the LORD or are we hunting for our own purposes?

“Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.” Psalm 2:11

We often need to search our own hearts, go on a hunting expedition to see what’s in it! Often times we may find we are out hunting for our own purposes, not the LORDS.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try Me, O God, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24

Today let us really search our hearts to see what’s in it, get rid of the stuff that is of no use to the LORD! And let us become mighty hunters for the LORD! Have a blessed day!

“Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.” Genesis 9:6

Here we see God’s plan for government and how He desired to protect man! The problem is the world is trying to get rid of God’s plan! No more consequences for crimes! Murders walk free, thieves aren’t convicted and adulterers are celebrated!

“LORD, how long will the wicked, How long will the wicked triumph?” Psalm 94:3

Well the wicked don’t triumph, they don’t win and God will judge! We as believers need to realize this is not our home! When the LORD calls us to be with Him, we will be leaving everything behind! All the stuff that weighs us down will be left behind and we will be with the LORD!

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.”

1 John 5:4

Remember we are made in God’s image and He has a perfect plan! Even though the world is falling apart the LORD isn’t! Today let’s look to the LORD not to man! Have a blessed day!

“And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.” Genesis 8:21

How true this is today man’s heart truly is evil all we have to do is turn on the TV; Movies, TV shows, video games and the news. Just pointing out a few things, realize if it wasn’t for the sweet aroma of our LORD on us from His sacrifice we would be doomed!

“And walk in Love, as Jesus also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.” Ephesians 5:2

Realize today that because of Jesus we are a sweet aroma to the LORD, not by any thing we do, but by what He has already done! Today as we are walking through the day let us love those around us, and be united with other believers even when we don’t agree! Remember the world is watching us!

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also have love for one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35

Things really are better when we show a love for each other not judging one another!

“And above all things have fervent love for one another, for LOVE WILL COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS.” 1 Peter 4:8

Today even though we really are evil in our hearts, remember we are covered by the love of the LORD, so let’s reflect His light and permeate His aroma which is sweet! Have a blessed day.

“Then the LORD said to Noah, Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.” Genesis 7:1

Why is Noah called righteous? Because he exercised faith, God told Him to build an ark and Noah responded by building a ark!

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

Often times the LORD calls us to things that look completely impossible! Ask Noah build a ark, Moses part the Red Sea, Joshua take down Jericho and David take down Goliath! These are just a few of the examples we have in scripture to encourage us in our own trials and obstacles!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

Right now you maybe looking at or going through a situation that seems impossible! Remember the LORD is right there with you and He will get you through! All we have to do is exercise our faith in the LORD, trusting and knowing that He will see you through! Know this today that the LORD started a work in you and through you and He will complete it!
