Imitate Yeshua

“He did what was evil from Adonai’s perspective; he followed the sins of Yarov`am the son of N’vat, who made Isra’el sin; and he never ceased committing those sins.”
2 Kings 13:2 CJB

We all need to be careful of following or justifying sin! We also need to be careful of trying to justify our sins because we see someone else doing it!

“Try to imitate me, even as I myself try to imitate the Messiah.”
1 Corinthians 11:1 CJB

What Paul is saying here is, as he is doing his best to imitate Yeshua, so should we! The best thing we can do to follow Yeshua, is to immerse ourselves in scripture and walk in His ways, so we can reflect His glorious light!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

So let’s do our best to imitate Yeshua and not the world!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Remove the sin

“Nevertheless the high priest places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and presented offerings on the high places.”
2 Kings 12:4 CJB verse 3 in other translations

What foolish and sinful things do we leave standing in our lives?
God desires us to remove them and not go back to them!

“You must destroy all places where the nations you are dispossessing served their gods, whether on high mountains, on hills or under some leafy tree.”
Deuteronomy 12:2 CJB

What God is saying here is if you have a place that you go to sin, destroy it or get rid of it! In other words don’t go there anymore! Submit to God instead!

“Therefore, submit to God. Moreover, take a stand against the Adversary, and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 CJB

When we submit to God, the Adversary will flee and we won’t feel the bondage of sin in our lives anymore!
Have a blessed day removing the sinful things in our lives!
Shabbat Shalom!

Seek wisdom

“All the people of the land celebrated, and at last the city was quiet, That is how they killed Atalyah with the sword at the royal palace.”
2 Kings 11:20

The people are celebrating because they removed evil from the throne and have a king from the line of David back! So always seek Adonai for direction!

“Is it your wisdom that sets the hawk soaring, spreading its wings toward the south?
Job 39:26 CJB

It is the wisdom of Adonai which is perfect and it’s His wisdom that leads the way!

“Seek Adonai and HIS strength; always seek His presence!
1 Chroni 16:11 CJB

We all need to seek the wisdom of Adonai before we act out or speak, that’s called being wise!
Have a blessed day seeking Adonai!

Trust Adonai

“However, Yehu did not turn away from the sins of Yarov`am the son of N’vat, with which he had led Isra’el into sin, the gold calves that were in Beit-El and Dan. “
2 Kings 10:29 CJB

Even though Yehu(Jehu) did some good things, he still held on to sinful things, by allowing the worship of golden calves.

”You are to have no other gods before me.”
Deuteronomy 5:7 CJB

A good question to ask ourselves, what do we allow into our lives in place of God? The little false gods of the world, will never be able to fix, solve or help us in anyway! What we need to do is worship and trust the creator of the universe!

Pray that Adonai your God will tell us what direction to take and what to do.”

“Pray that Adonai your God will tell us what direction to take and what to do.”
Jeremiah 42:3 CJB

Our first go to in everything should always be Adonai and look to Him for direction in all life’s events!
Have a blessed day trusting Him!

You can’t fool God

“The entire house of Achav will perish; I will cut off from Achav every male whether a slave or free in Israel.”
2 Kings 9:8 CJB

God told Achav that he would be cut off, even though he repented, the damage of sin has already been done! God hears us when we repent, He heals us when we call and removes our sin! But understand sin has repercussions!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

When we sin, the sad thing is it affects not only us, but also those around us! What do we do? Repent and move on! Remember Yeshua said go and sin no more, meaning don’t keep doing the same thing!

“He has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

Understand we can’t get away with anything, but also don’t dwell on the past, but move forward with Adonai!
Have a blessed day in Yeshua!
