Stand firm

“Herod was delighted to see Yeshua, because he had heard about Him and for a long time had been wanting to meet Him; indeed, he hoped to see Him perform some miracle.”

Luke 23:8 CJB

Nothing ever seems to change. People are still coming out to church to see miracles, not Jesus! How many came to see Moses before Pharaoh, Solomon in his wisdom and hear Jesus! Today, nothing has changed. It’s not “serve the LORD” it’s “what can I get or be entertained by?” Be careful of churches that act more like a circus!

“For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear.”

2 Timothy 4:3 CJB

Be extremely careful about churches that entertain or put on a show. Any time we attend that style of church, the teaching isn’t sound and the entertainment seems to be the main attraction!

“Many peoples will go and say, Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Adonai, to the house of the God of Ya’akov! He will teach us about His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Tziyon will go forth Torah, the word of Adonai from Yerushalayim.”

Isaiah 2:3 CJB also Micah 4:2 CJB

Let’s be careful of the world around us that wants to water down and compromise believers! What we need to do is stand strong, press hard after the LORD and learn of His ways! Be careful of entertainment and motivational speakers (lack of sound doctrine). Just stick to being in His word! Have a blessed day!

Don’t dwell on the past

“Elisha stopped following him. Then he took the yoke of oxen, slaughtered them, cooked their meat over the wooden yokes of the oxen and gave it to the people to eat. Then he got up, went after Eliyahu and became his servant.”

1 Kings 19:21 CJB

Here we see Elisha deciding to follow Eliyahu who is following the LORD! He not only decides to follow, he takes his oxen, barbecues them on their yokes and feeds his friends, making it difficult to go back to his old life!

“You are to follow Adonai your God, fear Him, obey His mitzvot (commands), listen to what He says, serve Him and cling to Him.”

Deuteronomy 13:5 CJB

We need to follow the LORD without looking back at the world we left behind! Holding onto Him, knowing He is holding onto us and is never letting go!

“Seek Adonai and His strength; always seek His presence.”

Psalm 105:4 CJB

Today, look to the LORD. Don’t return to your old ways, but look to the future with the LORD! Have a blessed day seeking the LORD!

Be a sweet aroma

“Adonai said to Moshe, Give and order to the peoples of Israel. Tell them, you are to take care to offer Me at the proper time the food presented to Me as offerings made by fire, providing a fragrant aroma for Me.”

Numbers 28:1-2

What offering can we give the LORD? Answer: ourselves and our problems, then worship Him for taking care of it all!

“Come to Me, all of you who are struggling and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28 CJB

We all know how rotten, foolish and sinful we can be and still, when we give it to the LORD, He forgives and gives us rest! That alone should lead us to rejoice and offer up worship to Him!

“I will rejoice and be glad in Your grace, for You see my affliction, You know how distressed I am.”

Psalm 31:7 CJB

The LORD calls us to rest and worship Him. Don’t get caught up in the wicked world, which only upsets and depresses us! Have a blessed day resting and rejoicing in the LORD. Let’s be a sweet aroma to Him!

Be patient

“Moshe brought their cause before Adonai. Adonai answered Moshe.”

Numbers 27:5-6 CJB

We need to do the same when we have a situation and or a decision to be made. We need to bring it to the LORD! He does answer in His time. Just be patient.

“As high as the sky is above the earth are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9 CJB

Don’t fall into the trap of making hasty decisions. Take a deep breath, call upon the LORD, make your requests known and really wait for Him to answer!

“In my distress I called to Adonai; yes, I called to my God. Out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry entered His ears.”

2 Samuel 22:7 CJB

Today, let’s bring our causes unto the LORD and wait. He will answer right on time. We just need to be patient.

Have a blessed day!
