David, was just anointed and then goes back to tending sheep! We don’t know for how long, but he was anointed and went back to work until God called him to serve!

“Serve Adonai with gladness. Enter his presence with joyful songs.”
Psalm 100:2 CJB

We are all anointed to serve Adonai, and when He calls us, we need to step up and step out!

Be aware that Adonai is God; it is He who made us; and we are His, His people, the flock in His pasture.”
Psalm 100:3 CJB

I believe that sometimes we forget this and need to be reminded that God made us and we belong to Him!

“Sh’mu’el went to Saul; Saul said to him, May Adonai bless you! I have done what Adonai ordered.”
1 Samuel 15:13 CJB

When we read this we know Saul is not being honest! God clearly told him to destroy all and Samuel is going to call him out!

“But Sh’mu’el answered, If so, why do I hear sheep bleating and cows mooing?”
1 Samuel 15:14 CJB

We all need to be careful of saying we did things that God calls us to do, but then don’t completely follow through, while claiming that we did!

“Obey and pay attention to everything I am ordering you to do, so that things will go well with you and with your descendants after you forever, as you do what Adonai sees as good and right.”
Deuteronomy 12:28 CJB

When we simply obey what Adonai says in and through His word, we will never be let down! When we do we will never be let down or led astray!

Here we see Jonathan making his victory all about Adonai and giving Him all the glory!

“Declare his glory among the nations, his wonders among all peoples!”
1 Chronicles 16:24 CJB

We may have issues in life and need direction! Do what Jonathan did, he called on Adonai for directions and when God directed him, he gives all glory and credit to Adonai!

“For Adonai is great, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared more than all gods.”
Psalm 96:4 CJB

So even though life has issues, simple thing here! Don’t allow the little things become the big things in life! Instead give God all the glory, making his amazing deeds known among all the people!

Simple thought here, if we just simply do what God says we will have fewer problems! The issue with many believers is they try to look for loopholes to not follow God’s instructions!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”
John 14:15 CJB

When we love someone, we will listen to them and try to make them happy by doing what they say. So if we love Adonai, we really should be striving to do what He says!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3 CJB

Adonai gives us commands not to be a burden, but to help us walk in His ways, not our own! His ways keep us from messes, our ways get us into them!
