Show some love

“They buried Avner at Hevron; the king wept aloud at Avner’s grave, and all the people wept.”
2 Samuel 3:32 CJB

Here we see David’s enemy Avner is dead, but instead of celebrating, David mourns! Do we weep for our enemies, do we pray for them or do we condemn them!

“But I tell you, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!”
Matthew 5:44 CJB

It is really easy to love people that we love and care for, it is harder to love someone who persecutes you or reviles you!

“Don’t take vengeance on or bear a grudge against your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am Adonai.”
Leviticus 19:18 CJB

Adonai really does desire us to love our neighbors as ourselves!
We all need to be careful of holding grudges, taking vengeance or trash talk about people!

“Don’t plot harm against each other; and don’t love perjury; for all these are things I hate, says Adonai.”
Zechariah 8:17 CJB

So, let’s love people around us today! Understand with all the turmoil in the world, it really could use some love!
Have a blessed day loving people!
Shabbat Shalom!

Seek peace

“Avner said to Yo’av, If it’s all right with you, let’s have the young men get up and fight it out between themselves, while we watch. Yo’av said, Yes, let them.”
2 Samuel 2:14 CJB

This is a sad thing to me here, the older guys use the younger guys to fight and die! This is nothing new. The old and powerful let the young fight and die, just so they can watch! This is happening all around us today!

“To a fool, vileness is like a game, as is wisdom to a person of discernment.”
Proverbs 10:23 CJB

Understand, sadly fighting and war happens and sometimes is necessary, but we should not celebrate it or misuse it!

“For Adonai is righteous; He loves righteousness; the upright will see His face.”
Psalm 11:7 CJB

God loves righteousness, He loves the upright and those who are just! So let’s cling to Him and His ways, chasing His peace and love!
Have a blessed day loving instead of hating!

God is our fortress

“Your glory, Israel, lies dead on your high places! How the heroes have fallen!”
2 Samuel 1:19 CJB

We see that King Saul and his sons are now dead! So David can feel a bit upset and relieved at the same time! Anytime there is the removal of a dictator king who oppressed his people, the, people rejoice! But what’s next?

“How the heroes have fallen and the weapons of war perished.’
2 Samuel 1:27 CJB

Israel saw that their leader and his heirs are gone and the Philistines are victorious! So they may have felt no hope, wondering who is going to protect them!

“Adonai-Tzva’ot is with us, out fortress. God of Ya`akov.”
Psalm 46:7 CJB

Understand even when things seem to go bad, it is always the perfect time for Adonai to step in!
God will have this covered!
May your day be blessed knowing Adonai is your fortress!

Repent

“The Philistine pursued and overtook Saul and his sons; and the Philistines killed Y’honatan, Avinadav and Malkishua, the sons of Saul.”
1 Samuel 31:2 CJB

This is where sin and disobedience to God gets us, it not only kills us but also those around us!

“Don’t delude yourselves: no one makes a fool of God! A person reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7 CJB

Understand we can’t hide from God and do what we want, we will get caught! Sadly it will affect not only you, but also those around you!

“Then, if my people, who bear My name, will humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 CJB

The best thing and the easiest thing we can do is repent!

“And then, whoever calls on the name of Adonai will be saved.”
Acts 2:21 CJB

God loves us and desires to forgive and restore us! We just need to repent!
Have a blessed day in the mighty name of Yeshua!
