Be alert

“Yesha`yahu (Isaiah) asked, What have they seen in your palace? They have seen everything in my palace, said Hizkiyahu. There isn’t a thing among my treasures that I haven’t shown them.”
2 Kings 20:15 CJB

Hezekiah made a big mistake here, showing everything to his enemy! We also need to be careful of showing off everything to our enemy, but be on guard instead!

“Stay alert! Be on your guard! For you do not know when the time will come.”
Mark 13:33 CJB

Only God knows the day and the hour of everything to come, so we need to stay alert and be awake!

“And what I say to you, I say to everyone: stay alert.”
Mark 13:37 CJB

We don’t know the day that Adonai is going to call us home, but we know the seasons we are living in so stay alert! Things happen fast!
Have a blessed day being on guard!
Shabbat Shalom!

Praise Adonai

“Now therefore, Adonai our God, please save us from his power-so that all the kingdoms on earth will know that you are Adonai, God-You only.”
2 Kings 19:19 CJB

When great things are done do we take credit or do we give God all the glory?

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
2 Samuel 22:4 CJB

When we have trials and we will, we need to call on Adonai, who will save us and we need to praise Him before, during and after the trial!

“Tell God, How awesome are Your deeds! At your great power, Your enemies cringe.”
Psalm 66:3 CJB

Our enemies may seem powerful, but to God they are nothing! So let’s enjoy His glorious power and praise Him everywhere and anywhere!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

God forgives

“He did what was right from Adonai’s perspective, following the example of everything David his ancestor had done.”
2 Kings 18:3 CJB

This is good news for us! Why? Because we know David did great things, but we also know that David blew it, he committed adultery, murder and many other sins! What made him great? He repented!

“And then, whoever calls on the name of Adonai will be saved.”
Acts 2:21 CJB

This is one of the themes throughout scripture, when we fail then repent, Adonai simply forgives! Why? Because God loves a humble repentant heart!

“But I will call on God, and Adonai will save me.”
Psalm 55:16 CJB

Adonai desires all people to call upon Him for salvation and that is something we should all be sharing!
Have a blessed day knowing God forgives!

Keep His commands

“Adonai had warned Israel and Y’hudah in advance through every prophet and seer, Turn from your evil ways; and obey My mitzvot(commands) and regulations, in accordance with the entire Torah which I ordered your ancestors to keep and which I sent to you through My servants the prophets.”
2 Kings 17:13 CJB

God has always desired us to walk in His ways doing what He commands us to do without question!

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands”
John 14:15 CJB

The idea here is if you love someone, you will listen to them and try to make them happy by doing what they say. So if we love Adonai, we should really be striving to do what He says!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3 CJB

God gives us commands not to be a burden, but to help us walk on His righteous paths and do life His way, which is always best!
Have a blessed day listening to Adonai!
