Be on guard
“Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
1 Peter 5:8 CJB
The point of this verse is that we are to be on guard at all times because the Adversary (Satan) is extremely crafty!
“Now the serpent (Satan) was more crafty than any wild animal which Adonai, God, had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, ‘You are not to eat from any tree in the garden’?”
Genesis 3:1 CJB
We all know what happened to Adam and Eve, deceived by the adversary! We all need to be careful of the enemy! Why? Because he is really craftier than all of us and is always looking for ways to cast doubt, deceive and cause havoc in the world!
“It happened one day that the sons of God came to serve Adonai, and among them came the Adversary [Hebrew: Satan]. Adonai asked the Adversary, Where are you coming from? The Adversary answered Adonai, From roaming through the earth, wandering here and there.”
Job 1:6-7 CJB
Two things to take in here: Every time believers get together, Satan shows up to see who he can stumble! Also Satan is always roaming around seeing whom he can deceive! We just need to be alert and studying the word of God so we are always able to defend ourselves from his attacks!
May your day be richly blessed!
Shabbat Shalom!
Spread love
“More than anything, keep loving each other actively; because love covers many sins.”
1 Peter 4:8 CJB
More than anything we need to be fervent in loving people! Why? Because God really is about love and love leads to salvation! Hate on the other hand leads to destruction!
“Hate stirs up disputes, but love covers all kinds of transgressions.”
Proverbs 10:12 CJB
Understand the Adversary (Satan) is a hater and loves stirring up hate in people! We must cling to love the love of God! When Yeshua was asked what was the greatest mitzvot (commands) to keep He replied:
“He told him, ‘You are to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’ This is the greatest and most important mitzvah. And the second is similar to it, ‘You are to love your neighbor as yourself.'”
Matthew 36:37-39 CJB also in Deuteronomy 6:4-9
No matter how much hate and division there is around us, we, as believers, need to spread the love of Yeshua!
May your day be richly blessed!
Shabbat Shalom!
Life has trials
“For if God has in fact willed that you should suffer, it is better that you suffer for doing what is good than for doing what is evil.”
1 Peter 3:17 CJB
When we suffer for the sake of Yeshua, we can rejoice, but when we suffer for playing the fool doing stupid things we pay for it! Suffering for God isn’t like suffering for sin! Why? Because with God we have His protection and His guidance to get us through!
“And indeed, all who want to live a godly life united with Messiah Yeshua will be persecuted, while evil people and imposters will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves.”
2 Timothy 3:12-13 CJB
Now we need to understand there is a difference in suffering for Yeshua and serving Him and making worldly decisions for selfish reasons! If we serve Yeshua, we will have days of suffering and persecution! But when we are in His will we will always get through!
“For His anger is momentary, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Tears may linger for the night, but with dawn come cries of joy.”
Psalm 30:5 CJB
We may have all kinds of problems that we go through in life, but they never last! When we look to Adonai, He always gets us through to the next morning!
Have a blessed day in Yeshua!
Don’t wonder!
“For you used to be like sheep gone astray, but now you have turned to the Shepherd, who watches over you.”
1 Peter 2:25 CJB
We all are like sheep that have gone astray doing our own thing. We should be thankful that the Creator of the Universe took all our guilt upon Himself!
“We all, like sheep, went astray; we turned, each one, to his own way; yet Adonai laid on Him the guilt of all of us.”
Isaiah 53:6 CJB
The reality is we all go astray and we all do our own thing often, which leads us to all kinds of trouble! So we all need a Saviour to save us from ourselves!
“Adonai is my Rock, my Fortress and Deliver, my God, my Rock, in whom I find shelter, my Shield, the Power that saves me, my Stronghold.”
Psalm 18:3 CJB
Is God your everything? Or do you think you can rely on your own strength, health, finances or intellect? If your answer is yes to any of these, then God isn’t your everything! No matter what let’s drop what ever we think is under our control and just give it all to the Good Shepherd Yeshua!
Have a blessed day in Him!
