“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”

Again if we love God, understand we can’t do our own thing! We must live by His Word and follow His commands!

“For loving God means obeying His commands. Moreover, His commands are not burdensome.”
1 John 5:3 CJB

Not talking about the religious commands of man, but the righteous commands of God, found in His Word! How? By continuously seeking and searching His Word for direction!

We all need to realize we are sinners in need of a Savior, the sad thing is there are people who believe there is no sin in them! Understand we sin constantly either knowingly or unknowingly! The cool thing is when we confess He forgives!

“Therefore, repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be erased.”
Acts 3:19 CJB

So thankful that we have Yeshua who is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins! All we have to do is repent and He forgives and removes all iniquity!

“He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

What an amazing truth: we confess and He forgives!

Nothing new here. People will always want to do their own thing, and scoff at believers who are waiting for and pointing to Messiah! They only want to hear what makes them happy at the moment!

“For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear.”
2 Timothy 4:3 CJB

That time is now, we have teachers who have great influence and share nothing but foolishness! Unfortunately, people today don’t want to hear anything that makes them unhappy or challenges them! Few people want to hear sound teaching and many teachers are more than willing to accommodate that!

Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside to follow myths.”
2 Timothy 4:4 CJB

What is sad is so many so-called Bible teachers actually don’t teach systematic Bible studies. They may sound and look cool, but are foolish and are out context! Many teachers don’t teach Bible prophecy, even though Peter and Paul prophesied that in the time to come many will just stop teaching! This should ignite and encourage us to be preachers and teachers of God’s glorious Word!

Yeshua warned us that in the last days there will be false teachers! We need to be studying and seeking God through His Word so we know His truth! Bottom line we are to teach and warn people, just like Peter is doing here!

“Hear instruction, and grow wise; do not refuse it.”
Proverbs 8:33 CJB

As much as we need to teach and warn we also need to be wise enough to hear and grow! God wants us to be focused on Him so as we go out in the world we will be able to teach and warn, but also be able to hear and grow!

“Teach me to do Your will, because you are my God. Let Your good Spirit guide me on ground that is level.”
Psalm 143:10 CJB

Today, let’s be in the Word of God to know how to guide, instruct, grow and to be on guard in the world around us!

One day we will all breathe our last breath and Peter is making clear that he knows that! What he doing is telling us to be fervent for sharing the Good News of Salvation! Why? Our time to go home is also getting closer!

We always need to be ready to share the Good News! Why? Because the world is in desperate need of Salvation!

“Proclaim the Word! Be on hand with it whether the time seems right or not. Convict, censure and exhort with unfailing patience and with teaching.”

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

Let’s be believers who proclaim and invite people to know Yeshua at every chance we get! Why? Because time is short!
