Our hope is in the LORD!

“I have waited for your salvation, O LORD!” Genesis 49:18

Like the tribe of Dan, who was rebellious like we are, we need the salvation of the LORD! We all make foolish mistakes, saying and doing stupid things. Boy do we need the LORD!

“I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

Today instead of just doing, let’s just wait for the LORD and see what He will do! Often times our mistakes and messes come from us being impatient, doing and saying things without praying and waiting!

“I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.”

Psalm 130:5

Realize the LORD already has everything worked out for us! All we have to do is pray, wait then do what He says and we’ll be good to go! When we get lost just dig into His word, that’s where we will find hope. Have a blessed day.

Merry Christmas

“Now it came to pass after these things that Joseph was, Indeed your father is sick; and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.” Genesis 48:1

The phrase “it came to pass” happens about 453 times in the KJB! The LORD is telling us something that no matter what is going on in life good or bad, it will come to pass.

“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you.”

1 Peter 4:12

Life is full of all kinds of issues, some good and some bad! Realize that everything will come to a end, including this life! Our goal and our hope should and needs to be placed in the LORD!

“Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.” Psalm 31:24

Today let us take hope in the fact that everything will come to pass! And we will be with the LORD soon and very soon! Have a blessed day placing our hope in the LORD!

Remember we are just passing through!

“But let me lie with my fathers; you shall carry me out of Egypt and bury me in their burial place. And he said, I will do as you have said.” Genesis 47:30

Here Jacob (Israel) in his old age realizes he will die soon. He see’s how the LORD has been blessing Joseph and the children of Israel with land, prestige, and riches and knows how complacent they can and will become! So he makes them promise that when he dies they will bury him back in Israel to remind them of where they belong!

“I am a stranger on the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from me.” Psalm 119:19

This should be a reminder for us like Jacob let’s not get so caught up in this world, that we forget the LORD! We can be distracted easily good and bad news, life is full of distractions! We need daily reminders that this is not our home and one day we will be with the LORD forever!

“They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power.” Psalm 145:11

Today don’t get sucked into wordily stuff, instead be consumed with the godly stuff of the LORD! Eternity with the LORD is forever our earthly life is seventy to maybe ninety year maybe more! Have a blessed day being a stranger in a strange land! And boy it’s getting strange!

The LORD is worthy in all things!

“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 19:26

We all go through times were we feel unworthy or just not good enough! The reality is we are unworthy and not good enough, but the LORD is!

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

Everything we need and really want is in the LORD! Often times we look in the wrong places that seem to be right! Jobs, money, health and seemingly good opportunities! Everything we really need is in the LORD, where all things are possible!

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

Today if you feel like your laboring or striving, for whatever reason. Just be still and silent before the LORD. Listen for His voice and know all things are possible in His timing and His ways not ours! Have a blessed day in Him!

Let’s have it His way!

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?” Matthew 18:12

The answer is yes! Look at it this way if the LORD slept the first thing that would be on His mind when he woke up would be you! Not because of your special abilities, your amazing personalty or intellect, but because the LORD simply loves you!

“For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.” Psalm 37:28

This should be encouraging for all of us He calls us His saints, the LORD left all to get you, you are always on His mind and no matter how bad you blow it when you call on Him, He forgives you!

“Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways.” Psalm 128:1

Because the LORD loves you and I so much, let us walk in His ways, not get in His way and stop trying to have it our way, (thats what leads us astray any way). Have a blessed day knowing the LORD is looking out for you. Shabbat Shalom!
