Shabbat Shalom

“When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” Matthew 16:13

Its a good question for today, who do men say that I am? The world has so many different views some good and some bad!

“He said to them, But who do you say that I am?”

Matthew 16:15

This is a better question for us because its more personal! It’s easy to give the intellectual answer, but here its either LORD and Savior or just a good wise man! Who is the LORD to you, spend some time with Him today and see! We all have to answer who Jesus is!

“For I know that the LORD is great, And our LORD is above all gods.” Psalm 135:5

Today let us really put the LORD above all things, knowing that He alone can and does all things! He is the answer to everything that comes up in life! Make the LORD the center of everything today! Shabbat Shalom!

Believers beware and be on guard!

“Then Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” Matthew 16:6

We need to heed the same warning today! There are so many teachers out there sharing all kinds of views on the bible and God! Believers beware and be on guard! HOW? Study!

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

We can’t be lazy when it comes to the word of God, we need to open our bibles and get into His word and study! Have devotions, check scripture to make sure things that are said are true! Be students with a thirst for the word of God!

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

So today take time to seek out the LORD!

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers.”

2 Timothy 4:3

Reading a devotional post is good, listening to a message is great and going to a bible study is awesome, But nothing beats opening up your bible, praying and seeking the LORD having personal time with Him. Today spend some time with the LORD and have a blessed day!

Life is always easier when we walk in His ways!

“So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” 1 Kings 3:14

Our days on earth may not be lengthened, but they will be far better if we walk in the ways of the LORD doing what He says! So thankful for the grace of God, but let us also be thankful for His word that gives us His instruction’s on how to live!

“Keep My commands and live, And my law as the apple of your eye.” Proverbs 7:2

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15

What I believe the LORD is saying to you and to me is walk in His ways and life will always be better! When we do our own thing and not follow the LORD’s plan life tends to get messy! When we follow the LORD’s plan walking in His ways we are able to avoid life’s messes and be comforted, Knowing He will get us through!

“In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me.” Psalm 86:7

Today let us get into the word of the LORD, search it out and do what it says! But also realize when we blow it all we have to do is call out to Him and He is gracious and just to forgive! Have a blessed day knowing how great and how good our LORD is!

Happy Hanukkah

“For if we had not lingered, surely by now we would have returned this second time.” Genesis 43:10

Often times this is how we can be waiting and wondering, instead of stepping out and doing! The LORD gives us direction or a open door and we hesitate.

“I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied my name.” Revelation 3:8

Life will always be easier when we keep the LORD as our priority, and do what He says in His word. Don’t linger in advice from the world, which will cause us to hesitate and linger!

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22

Today let us act upon what the LORD tells us and shows us, backed up by His word! Have a blessed day searching His word and be doers of His word! Not lingering in the fogginess of the world!

Exercise your faith!

“And he said, Indeed I have heard that there is grain in Egypt; go down to that place and buy for us there, that we may live and not die.” Genesis 42:2

Life will throw us all kinds of obstacles, financial shortages, job problems, car problems and health issues to name a few. The LORD allows such things to happen so we can exercise our faith in Him!

“So Joseph’s ten brothers went down to buy grain in Egypt.” Genesis 42:3

Here Jacob see’s the famine in his land, hears there is grain in Egypt and sends his boys to fetch some! Jacob showed faith he believed and acted on it! We often say we believe then sit and do nothing!

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

So get into the word of God!

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22

And do what it says!

“You see that faith was active along with works, and faith was completed by his works.” James 2:22

Today let us get into the word of God, seek instruction through His word and then step out and do it! Have a blessed day exercising our faith by doing what the word says!
