Spend time with the LORD!

“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” Mark 1:35

We all need to take some time in our day to spend with the LORD, Jesus did! Spending time with the LORD should be a priority in our lives, but often times we fail, we get to busy or distracted.

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.”

Psalm 5:3

Often times when life seems to be getting out of control, the reason usually is a lack of time with the LORD! Don’t be to busy or distracted from spending time with the LORD in prayer!

“LORD, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You.” Psalm 141:1

The idea hear is to cry out to the LORD, all the time not just when crisis hits. The best advice anyone can give is to get into the practice of spending time with the LORD! We all need hear and heed that advice! Have a blessed day seeking the LORD! Shabbat Shalom!

The LORD keeps His promises!

“But afterward, they changed their minds; they made the male and female slaves, whom they had freed, return; and they brought them back into subjection as slaves.”

Jeremiah 34:11 CJB

Here we see the Hebrew people make a promise to the LORD and then break it, by putting the freed slaves back into slavery their own people! How often do we make a promise to the LORD and then break it! How often do we put our brothers and sisters in bondage by what we say and do?

“Peter said to Him, Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You! And so said all the disciples.” Matthew 26:35

We know what happens next Jesus goes and prays the soldiers come and the disciples run! What I hope we can take from this today is; before we make statements or promises lets pray! As we are praying, let us also wait for an answer from the LORD! His will be done!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

Today let us be careful of making promises, instead let us stand firm in His promises. WHY? Because He keeps them, you and I not so much! Have a blessed day praying and waiting on the LORD!

Delight yourself in the word of the LORD!

“So Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD and all the judgements. And all the people answered with one voice and said, All the words which the LORD has said we will do.” Exodus 24:3

This is something we all should be careful of Arrogance! Here all of Israel is agreeing that they will do all and keep all of what the LORD says! We can make the same mistake!

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” 1 John 1:8

The other side of this saying we will keep all is we don’t need to do it at all! We also need to be careful of that!

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

John 14:15

What are we to do then? The best thing we can do is continue to be in His word, meditate on it, chew on it and repeat it all day!

“But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1:2

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11

We will always be better off when we are just permeating our lives with the word of God! Have a blessed day taking in every opportunity to spend time with the LORD!

Avoid the messes, listen to the LORD!

“Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.”

Exodus 23:20

How comforting is this, the LORD sends a Angel not only to guide us but prepare and go before us! We also have a bit of a warning here to. The LORD has already prepared your way so walk in it.

“Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.”

Exodus 23:21

What I believe the LORD is saying here is real simple, follow Him, hear what He says and do what He says and things will work out! On the other hand we can hear what we want, do what we want and life will become a mess!

“Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways.” Psalm 128:1

We will always be better off by just doing what the LORD says! To just do what His word says and walk in His ways! Avoid the temptation to find scripture to fit your way of living, seek the scriptures to find the LORD has already prepared your way!

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15

So have a blessed day just walking in the way of the LORD!

Judge less and pray more!

“You are not to curse God, and you are not to curse a leader of your people.”

Exodus 22:27 CJB

It’s not our usual practice to curse God, we should stay away from saying things with ___ damn in it! Unfortunately it doesn’t stop us from cursing our leaders, which are put in place by the LORD!

“Bless those who persecute you – bless them, don’t curse them!” Romans 12:14 CJB

I know it’s real easy to make excuses for not liking our countries leaders, our local leaders or even our bosses, But the LORD doesn’t want us to curse them! What we need to do is pray for them!

“But I tell you, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!” Matthew 5:44 CJB

It’s always easier to put down people who anger or irritate you, But let’s try to pray for them instead! Let’s pray blessings on our leaders, their families, our teachers and our bosses no matter how hard it maybe! When we pray and love on others, we will be filled with His joy! Have a blessed day!
