Don’t look back, look forward to the LORD

“But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.”

Genesis 19:26

We all need to be careful of looking back! Like Mrs. Lot, I believe she was looking back at Sodom because she loved it and was sad to leave! She may have loved Lot, but it seems she loved Sodom a lot more!

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

1 John 2:15

Now, in life there can be a great many things that we can enjoy like family, vacations and a variety of activities. All that is OK, but we need to put the love of the LORD first! Every good thing comes from the LORD!

“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”

Psalm 34:8

Today, no matter what your struggles or situation maybe, don’t look back at what you may have had, but, instead, look forward to what the LORD has, a perfect place built for you in Heaven! Have a blessed day looking forward!

God has it covered

“And the LORD said to Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?”

Genesis 18:13

Have you ever laughed at what the LORD has promised you, “saying things like that’s never gonna happen.” Basically just not believing the LORD can!

“Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Genesis 18:14

We can believe in the LORD, but at the same time have doubts and unbelief! The LORD says He’ll never leave us nor forsake us, and we can count on that!

“Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, LORD,I believe; help my unbelief!”

Mark 9:24

Life does have many different situations that come at us, some good and some bad. We just need to trust and believe that the LORD will see us through all of them! Today, let us laugh, knowing no matter what, the LORD will get us through!

Have a blessed day!

Glorify the LORD

“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

This verse doesn’t say do good things so your name can shine on a billboard, it says let your good works shine so the LORD can be glorified!

“Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.”

Psalm 34:3

We all can be guilty, from time to time, for trying to take credit for things we have done. “Look who I led to the LORD, look how much I give or check out how much I serve!” As good as these things are, we need to be careful, we need to give credit to the LORD for all good things!

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

James 1:17

This is a good reminder for us all today, that we get to reflect the light of the LORD and glorify Him! Let’s keep our eyes and ears open for ways to glorify the LORD! Have a blessed day.

Know the LORD is with you!

“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, Fear not, I will help you.”

Isaiah 41:13

Does our first reaction to any given situation start with; who can help me? We need to realize that the LORD is always right there by us holding our hand and guiding us through life!

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials.”

James 1:2

Life is full of all kinds of ups and downs! We have health issues, money issues and social issues, everyone at one time or the other has one of these! How can we count it all joy? Remember, the LORD says FEAR NOT! He allows situation in our lives, so we can see Him get us through!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9

No matter what situation you may be going through today, realize the LORD is right there with you! So FEAR NOT!

Have an amazingly blessed day!

Shabbat Shalom.

Waiting on the LORD!

“But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31

We can often expend a lot of energy and waste a lot of time when we try doing things our own way, usually getting ahead of the LORD! Instead, let us simply just wait on Him, even when our present situation may seem grim!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart. And lean not on your own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5

We can get so caught up in our own situation that we allow it to consume us and let it take over our lives! What we need to do is look to the LORD. He really is working things out!

“Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.”

Micah 7:7

Today, let us wait on the LORD and let Him renew us. Let us trust in the LORD and get His understanding and then let us look to the LORD for He is our salvation in all things!

Have a blessed day seeking Him!
