Even though this is speaking of having two wives, loving one and disliking the other, it really is about fairness and not having favorites!

“Then you will become children of your Father in heaven. For He makes His sun shine on good and bad people alike, and He sends rain to the righteous and unrighteous alike.”
Matthew 5:45 CJB

Understand as God doesn’t show favoritism, neither should we!

“Adonai is good to all; His compassion rests on all His creatures.”
Psalm 145:9 CJB

God is good to all. We really need to do the same, by being kind to others! God will deal with evil and unjust people!

The point here isn’t to make an excuse not to go to battle, but if their heart isn’t right or they are distracted with other things, then they would be better off staying home! God doesn’t want them half hearted people, He wants to be bold and totally sold out for Him!

“Be strong, be bold, don’t be afraid or frightened of them, for Adonai your God is going with you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 CJB

Everywhere we go God has gone before us to prepare the way, so we have nothing to be afraid of!

“For I, Adonai, your God, say to you, as I hold your right hand, Have no fear; I will help you.”
Isaiah 41:13 CJB

So let’s be bold knowing God has you by the hand guiding and leading you everywhere you go!

“One witness alone will not be sufficient to convict a person of any offense or sin of any kind; the matter will be established only if there are two or three witnesses testifying against him.”

God really makes it hard to be a false witness, in order to not have people falsely convicted! That’s why my word against your word doesn’t work! God set this up this safeguard, so people wouldn’t be falsely accused! We all need to be careful of false witnessing! Two or three witnesses is always necessary!

“He who tells the truth furthers justice, but a false witness furthers deceit.”
Proverbs 12:17 CJB

We need to hear truth, but also tell truth and stay away from false witnesses! How? One of the best ways is proclaiming the goodness of God!

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

The best way to stay away from false and evil ways is by sharing the greatness of Adonai!

If anyone claims that they speak from God, it has to be backed by His Word and it has to glorify Him!

Everything we say and do needs to magnify and glorify Adonai, if it is not then it’s not from Him!
