Wholeheartedly for the LORD

“He did what was right from Adonai’s perspective, but not wholeheartedly.”
2 Chronicles 25:2 CJB

Amaziah did what was right according to the LORD, but he did it halfheartedly! In other words he had no passion for the LORD and basically just went through the motions! Like some believers today.

“Clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with cries of joy!”
Psalm 47:1 CJB

We all really need to have are joy and a passion for the LORD! We need to serve the LORD with a whole heart! Be careful of just going through the motions.

“As a result, the anger of Adonai blazed up against Amatzyah, and He sent him a prophet, who said to him, Why have you sought out the gods of those people, when they couldn’t even rescue their own people from you?”
2 Chronicles 25:15 CJB

Do we have a passion for the LORD or has our passion faded? Here Amaziah gets a great victory from the LORD, but seeks the useless gods of the world, who can’t save you!

“So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth!”
Revelation 3:16 CJB

Today, if you feel like your passion for the LORD has faded, it may be because you’ve allowed the world to influence you! Too much news, talk radio or social media sites might be the problem. To have a passion for the LORD, get into His word and spend time with Him!
Have a blessed day seeking Him out!

Restore

“Some time later, Yo’ash (Joash) decided to restore the house of Adonai.”
2 Chronicles 24:4 CJB

Realize, the LORD dwells inside us via the Holy Spirit. From time to time we need to take a good look inside ourselves to see if we need to make some repairs!

“Don’t you know that you people are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?”
1 Corinthians 3:16 CJB

We all need some restoring or some house cleaning from time to time! We all allow junk to creep into our lives, too much news, social media or even bad teaching. Today is a good day to do some reflecting and checking!

“Create in me a clean heart, God; renew in me a resolute spirit.”
Psalm 51:12 CJB

The best way to be renewed in the LORD is by spending time in His word!

“I am melting away from anxiety and grief; renew my strength, in keeping with Your word.”
Psalm 119:28 CJB

The world around us can distress us and give us grief! The LORD wants us to be restored in Him!
Have a blessed day, be refreshed and restored in the LORD!

“If I forget you, Jerusalem, May my right hand wither away! May my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I fail to forget You, if I fail to count Jerusalem the greatest of all my joys.”

Reflect the LORD

” Jehoiada made a covenant between himself, all the people, and the king, that they would be Adonai’s people.”
2 Chronicles 23:16 CJB

Knowing that the LORD loves us and saves us should give us a desire to just do His will! Our desire should be to be in His word, searching it out for instructions!

“The Torah of Adonai is perfect, restoring the inner person. The instruction of Adonai is sure, making wise the thoughtless or simple.”
Psalm 19:7 CJB

With all that is going on in the world, we get the privilege to be called His people! What an awesome thing it is to belong to the LORD!

“Be aware that Adonai is God; it is He who made us; and we are His, His people, the flock of His pasture.”
Psalm 100:3 CJB

So let’s be part of what the LORD is doing by partnering with Him and being a light in the dark world around us!
May your day be richly blessed!

Use God’s filter

“So he did what was evil from Adonai’s perspective, as had the house of Achav; because, to his destruction, they were his counselors after his father died.”
2 Chronicles 22:4 CJB

Much of the world is doing evil in the eyes of the LORD! We also need to be careful of where we get counsel, because much of the counsel out there isn’t good!

“Also Your instructions are my delight; they are my counselors.”
Psalm 119:24 CJB

There is so much polluted instructions and advice in the world today, whether it’s news, social media and, unfortunately, some preachers, we need to be careful! Check everything through the filter of God’s word!

“Every word of God’s is pure; He shields those who take refuge in Him.”
Proverbs 30:5 CJB

With all the evil and bad counsel that is floating around the world today, we need to be careful on what we take in! Use the word of God as your filter!
Have a blessed day in Him!
