Repent

“Kayin (Cain) had words with Hevel (Abel) his brother; then one time, when they were in the field, Kayin turned on Hevel his brother and killed him.”
Genesis 4:8 CJB

Kayin obviously had no love for His brother or a fear of God. When we read into this scripture, it seems Kayin was letting his anger get the best of him and after some time killed his brother.

“Adonai said to Kayin, Where is Hevel your brother? And he replied, I don’t know; am I my brother’s guardian?”
Genesis 4:9 CJB

Kayin not only murders his brother, but also tries to deny he knew anything about it! Understand, we can’t hide anything from the LORD, He knows all!
We always need to be open and honest with the LORD and do things His way!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai, and must understand that your sin will find you out.”
Numbers 32:23 CJB

Today, don’t try to hide things from the LORD, because you can’t! Just be open and honest with Him and repent and watch what He will do!
Have a blessed day in Him!

We all die!

“Sarah lived to be 127 years old; these were the years of Sarah’s life. Sarah died in Kiryat-Arba, also known as Hevron, in the land of Kena`an; and Avraham came to mourn Sarah and weep for her.”
Genesis 23:1-2 CJB

Intresting that Sarah is only woman in Bible who’s age is mentioned at death (a topic for a future post). The reality here is death is real and that is something believers and unbelievers have in common! Ten out of ten people will die! The question for all of is; are we building shrines and legacies or are we leading people to the LORD! Are we serving self or are we serving the LORD?

“Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai; let us exalt His name together.”
Psalm 34:3 CJB

The problem we see today is there is more concern for what we have than what the LORD has given! We see this attitude of let’s build our empire here and now! It’s becoming harder to tell the difference between believers and unbelievers, because they both have the same attitude!

“In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 CJB

Today, may are life be more about glorifying the LORD and leading people to Him and remember it’s not about how much stuff you have! Remember, we all have an appointment with death, so let’s make it count for the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him!
Shabbat Shalom!

Don’t be fooled

“Now the serpent was more crafty than any wild animal which Adonai, God, had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, You are not to eat from any tree in the garden?”
Genesis 3:1 CJB

We all need to be careful of the enemy! Why? Because he really is craftier than all of us and is always looking for ways to cast doubt, deceive and cause havoc in the lives of believers!

“Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a lion looking for someone to devour.”
1 Peter 5:8 CJB

Our Adversay (Satan) is always on the move, lying and deceiving looking for someone to devour! The good news is Adonai is always watching over us, but we still need to be vigilant and ready to call on Adonai for help!

“I call on Adonai, who is worthy of praise; and I am saved from my enemies.”
Psalm 18:4 CJB 18:3 NKJV

Today, know that the enemy is out there on the move, but better yet Adonai is watching over us and protecting us! So let’s just praise Him today, because the more we are in communication with God, the Adversary has no opportunities to deceive!
May your day be richly blessed!
Shabbat Shalom!

Rest

“On the seventh day God was finished with His work which He had made, so He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.”
Genesis 2:2 CJB

Did God need to rest? No! Everything Adonai does is to give us an example to follow and how to live His way. He created us knowing we need a day of rest!

“Then He said to them, Sabbath was made for mankind, not mankind for Shabbat; So the Son of Man is LORD even of Shabbat.”
Mark 2:27 CJB

The LORD wants us to have a Sabbath day not to burden us, but instead to free us from our normal activities and to have a special day of rest in Him.

“My soul, return to Your rest! For Adonai has been generous toward you.”
Psalm 116:7 CJB

Today, with all the insanity going on around us, we now, more than ever, need to take a break and there is no better way than taking a day to spend with the LORD!
Have a blessed day in Him!

Take refuge in Adonai

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1 CJB

God was here from the beginning and He will be here to the end and beyond! He also created everything, including, us and everthing God does is perfect!

“In the beginning, you laid the foundations of the earth; heaven is the work of Your hands.”
Psalm 102:25 CJB

This should be comforting to us! God created all things, which includes us and He created us for His purposes! So even if things seem rough and the world is out of control, remember, God created all things and He will perfectly work it all out!

“Taste, and see that the Adonai is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in Him!”
Psalm 34:8 CJB

Today, knowing the LORD has created all things, let’s take refuge in Him, knowing He has it all worked out for us!
Have a blessed day in the LORD!
