God gets you through

“Isarael lived in the land of Egypt (the world) seventeen years. They acquired possessions in it and were productive, and their numbers multiplied greatly.”
Genesis 47:27 CJB

History proves the more oppressed the children of God are, the more they grow! At this time in Egypt the famine was severe and the people had nothing! But, the LORD takes care of His children!

“I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have tsuris (tribulation). But be brave! I have conquered the world!”
John 16:33 CJB

Life is full of problems or tests. Every one we pass or get through makes us stronger!

“Adonai is a stronghold for the oppressed, a tower of strength in times of trouble.”
Psalm 9:9 CJB

Today, yes we have troubles, but with the LORD we can and do get through them! When we get through them we are always stronger in the LORD and our faith is built up!
Have a blessed day walking with the LORD!

Desist and listen!

“In a vision at night God called to Israel, Yaakov! Yaakov! He answered, Here I am.”
Genesis 46:2 CJB

God is always calling His children, but are we answering? We all can spend more time talking that we neglect to just stop and listen!

“You are to follow Adonai your God, fear Him, obey His mitzvot (laws), listen to what He says, serve Him and cling to Him.”
Deuteronomy 13:5 CJB

God desires us to listen to His voice, hear about and do life His way!

“Desist, and learn that I am God, supreme over the nations, supreme over the earth.”
Psalm 46:10 CJB

Today, let’s be more about listening and hearing what Adonai has to say and stop listening to the noise around us, including the noise we may make also!
Have a blessed day listening for the voice of Adonai!

Live for Adonai

“Yaakov (Jacob) lived in the land of Egypt seventeen years; thus Yaakov lived to be 147 years old.”
Genesis 47:28 CJB

Like Jacob, we live for a time in Egypt (the world) and then we move on, as believers we move on to be with the LORD!

“On that day, a person will heed his Maker and turn his eyes toward the Holy One of Israel.”
Isaiah 17:7 CJB

Yes, that day is coming and is coming soon, I believe! We need to live each day in anticipation for the LORD calling us home and share that Good News with others!

“When you seek Me, you will find Me, provided you seek Me wholeheartedly.”
Jeremiah 29:13 CJB

Today, know we only have a short time here in Egypt (the world), so let’s make it count for the LORD!
Have a blessed day living for the LORD!
Shabbat Shalom!

Look ahead

“Thus he sent his brothers on their way, and they left; he said to them, Don’t quarrel among yourselves while you’re traveling!”
Genesis 45:24 CJB

What Yosef (Joseph) is saying is don’t try to figure out what happened or place blame! What is done is done, so just move forward! God has a great future set before us!

“For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai, ‘plans for well being, not bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11CJB

The LORD doesn’t want us dwelling on our past, trying to somehow redo things! But, instead He wants us to look forward to a future with Him! Remember, the LORD forgets our sins when we repent, so let us do the same!

He has removed our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 CJB

Today, let’s spend less time trying to relive the past, instead let’s spend time looking to our future with the LORD!
May your day be blessed!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be kind

“Therefore, I beg you, let your servant stay as a slave to my lord instead of the boy, and let the boy go up with his brothers.”
Genesis 44:33 CJB

Are we willing to be last, give up our ambitions or lay down our lives for someone else?

“No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13 CJB

What are we willing to give up? It may be easier to give up things for family and friends, but what about perfect strangers?

“This is what I command you: keep loving each other!
John 15:17 CJB

Understand what Yeshua wants us to do is love people, no matter how hard it may be!
Today, let’s be lovers of the LORD and love people, that’s the best witness we can be!
Have a amazing day!
