Trust

“But when you changed your minds. You profaned My name when each of you took back his male and female slaves, whom you had set free to live as they wished, and brought them back into subjection as your slaves.”
Jeremiah 34:16 CJB

Understand God doesn’t want or ever wanted men to own each other, the bible has a lot to say about that subject, but we will save that for another day! What we need to see here is God doesn’t want us to go back on our word! Don’t say one thing then do another! Be careful of saying you’ll obey Adonai, then go back on your word!

“Look at the proud: he is inwardly not upright; but the righteous will attain life through trusting faithfulness.”
Habbakuk 2:4 CJB

We need to obey God on all He says to do. God told Israel to free their slaves and not make them slaves again! We need to do the same as we were freed from the slavery of sin, so don’t go back to it!

“For we live by trust, not by what we see.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 CJB

Today, trust Adonai and do what He says and don’t change your minds and go back to what you were before!
Have a blessed day trusting Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

The glory of Adonai

“But Moshe said, I beg you to show me your glory.”
Exodus 33:18 CJB

What a great thing to beg for! Adonai show us your glory!

“Be exalted, God, above heavens! May your glory be over all the earth!”
Psalm 57:5 CJB

The cool thing is if we take the time and look we can see the glory of Adonai! It’s all around us, He has created the world and it’s filled with His beauty! Just look up in the sky, in the mountains and in the oceans!

“The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory.”
Psalm 97:6 CJB

Today, let’s ask Adonai to reveal His glory and then let’s look for it!
Have a blessed day!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be careful what you serve

“So quickly they have turned aside from the way I ordered them to follow! They have cast a metal statue of a calf, worshipped it, sacrificed to it and said Israel! Here is your god, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.”
Exodus 32:8 CJB

We can easily say that if we were in the place of Israel and saw all the miracles God performed we would never do this sin! We also need to be very careful to make a statement like that because we’ve done and may be doing the same thing now! Do we worship false gods?

“You are to have no other gods before me. You are not to make for yourselves a carved image or any kind of representation of anything in heaven above, on the earth beneath or in the water below the shoreline.”
Exodus 20:3-4 CJB

We need to be careful of social media, our houses, our jobs, our political views and the many electronic devices we have! We all can have a tendency to worship or let things get in the way of Adonai! Do we have to get rid of these things? Only if it gets in the way of our relationship with God!

“No one can be slave to two masters; for he will either hate the first and love the second, or scorn the second and be loyal to the first. You can’t be a slave to both God and money.”
Matthew 6:24 CJB

Today, let’s all take a good look at ourselves and see if there is anything that gets in the way of us and God!
Have a blessed day!

He fills us

“I have filled him with the Spirit of God-with wisdom, understanding and knowledge concerning every kind of artisnary.”
Exodus 31:3 CJB

God has filled all of us with His spirit and skills to do His work!

“Teach me to do Your will, because You are my God. Let Your good Spirit guide me on ground that is level.”
Psalm 143:10 CJB

Adonai desires to teach us and gives us wisdom to do His will and work on earth! No matter how uphill our battles seem to be, with God it’s nothing but level ground!

“Adonai will fufill His purpose for me. Your grace, Adonai, continues forever. Don’t abandon the work of your hands!”
Psalm 138:8 CJB

Today, know Adonai has annointed us with skills. wisdom and has leveled the path before us to do His work!
God bless your day!

Don’t be ordinary

“You are not to make for your own use any incense like it, with the same composition of ingredients-you are to treat it as holy, for Adonai.”
Exodus 30:37 CJB

We are to set things apart for Adonai, He desires us to make things holy, special and not ordinary!

“For in six days, Adonai made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them; but on the seventh day He rested. This is why Adonai blessed the day, Shabbat, and seperated it for Himself.
Exodus 20:11 CJB

Yes we work six days and they are ordinary not bad, just ordinary, but one day is set apart for Adonai, it’s special a holy day!

“Give Adonai His due, you who are godly; give Adonai His due of glory and strength; give Adonai the glory due His name; worship in holy splendor.”
Psalm 29:1-2 CJB

Today, don’t get caught up in the ordinary parts of life, but instead get caught up in the special set apart times with Adonai! It will always make the ordinary times better!
Have a blessed day!
