Listen to God

“Bil`am got up in the morning and said to the princes of Balak, Return to your own land, because Adonai refuses to give me permission to go with you.”
Numbers 22:13 CJB

Even though Balaam asks God four more times after this if he can curse Israel, after God said no the first time, he should have just quit!

“I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by you the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Genesis 12:3 CJB

We can’t go against God and expect to come out in good shape, we will always lose! But, we can do the right thing and listen to God and bless His people, that’s when we will be blessed!

“Finally, he made this pronouncement: Oh no! Who can live when God does this?”
Numbers 24:23 CJB

The answer is no one can live when they come against God or His people! So today, let’s be a blessing to God and His people! Then watch and see how God blesses you!
Have an awesome day seeking Adonai!
Shabbat Shalom!

Seek God and His people

“But she had been crying throughout the seven days of the banquet; so on the seventh day, because she had kept pressing him, he told her the solution; and she passed it on to her people.”
Judges 14:17 CJB

We can see here that as Samson played in the world to get what he wants, we find that in the end the world will be loyal to the world! We need to be careful of doing the same and seek Adonai and His people!

“Now, therefore, make confession to Adonai, the God of your ancestors; and do what will please Him by separating yourselves from the peoples of the land and from the foreign women.”
Ezra 10:11 CJB

God, really does desire us to keep separate from worldliness, it doesn’t mean we can’t be in the world, just not part of the world and its wickedness!

“Not neglecting our own congregational meetings, as some have made a practice of doing, but rather, encouraging each other. And let us do this all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:25 CJB

Today, we can see that day of the LORD fast approaching! So we need to be careful of falling into the trap that Samson fell into, desiring things of the world, which was his ultimate downfall!
Have a blessed day seeking fellowship with other believers!
Shabbat Shalom!

Be redeemed

“Again the people of Israel did what was evil from Adonai’s perspective, and Adonai handed them over to the P’lishtim for forty years.”
Judges 13:1 CJB

The same goes for us when we do evil. God will allow us to go into a captivity or held in bondage until we repent!

“But if you will not do this, then you have sinned against Adonai, and you must understand that your sin will find you out.”
Numbers 32:23 CJB

We can’t get away with anything, God sees all! The good news is if we confess, He will heal and redeem!

“Then, if My people, who bear My name, will humble themselves, pray, seek My face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 CJB

Today, realize that the key to salvation is repentance! There will never be revival until people repent! Every time the people of Israel did evil, God redeemed them when they cried out to Him and repented, then He forgave and healed!
Today, let’s walk in the ways of Adonai!

Help out

“Yiftach (Jephthah) answered, When my people and I were in a serious dispute with the people of Amon, I called you; and you didn’t rescue me from their power.”
Judges 12:2 CJB

Do we ignore people when they call out for help? And in this day and age there is no shortage of people who need help!

“In my distress I called to Adonai; I cried out to my God. Out of His temple He heard my voice; my cry reached His ears.”
Psalm 18:7 CJB

We all need help from time to time, so we should be ready to give out and help out when people call out!

“Adonai is near those with broken hearts; He saves those whose spirit is crushed.”
Psalm 34:18 CJB

Today, as Adonai saves us when we cry out to Him, we should be willing to help those who cry out to us!
Have a blessed day helping the lost!

Do what you say!

“When he saw her, he tore his clothes and said, Oh, no, my daughter! You’re breaking my heart! Why must you be the cause of such pain to me? I made a vow to Adonai, and I can’t go back on my word.”
Judges 11:35 CJB

What a great warning here. We need to all be careful of making vows! When we make vows and promises, we need to make sure we can actually keep them!

“If you make a vow to God, don’t delay in discharging it. For God takes no pleasure in fools, so discharge your vow! Better not to make a vow than to make a vow and not discharge it.”
Ecclesiastes 5:3-4 CJB Verse 2 in other translations

Again, don’t make vows you can’t keep or don’t intend to keep, because when you do they will always come back to bite you!

“Just let your ‘Yes’ be a simple ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ a simple ‘No’; anything more than this has its origin in evil.”
Matthew 5:37 CJB

Today, let’s make sure what we say is what we can do! Make our ‘Yes’ a ‘Yes’ and our ‘No’ a ‘No’!
Have a blessed day in Adonai!
